“I've been here many times and continue to be impressed. I think Wildfire might suffer because it's tucked in a mall but don't let that deter you. Last time I had prime rib and crab cakes and both were as good as any I have had anywhere in town. It's amazing to find great crab cakes in the middle of Minnesota but these guys pull it off. I could go on and on about all the good menu selections but I'll just say I've never been disappointed. One thing they do very well also is the pace of service. Even when it's very busy the I'm sure this is prompt but not rushed and you never feel like you're having to wait too long or that they are pushing you along. I will add that I have had several business events in the private rooms here and they do a great job with that too. Whether it's lunch or dinner they really seem to be able to accommodate a variety of groups or the most intimate of dinner events.“

“Amazing cheesecake! I was never the biggest fan of cheesecake but this place made me a fan. I just shared some of my key lime with family at Easter and they all loved it. I shared some minis with coworkers and they all said how much they loved it as well.The cheesecake is so light and creamy. And the crust is a very important part as well that is done perfectly. I spoke with the owner when is stopped in and she was so enjoyable to chat with. The staff was so friendly as well, even holding the door when I left as they thanked me. I will definitely go back.“

So managing my expectations here, I would like to point out that the demographic for their choice (and volume) of music was more for the employees than anyone who was actually eating at the tables during dinner on a Monday. The food I ordered was such a great idea, but the wild rice and chicken soup was not made on site and had possibly been on the hob too long(?). The club sandwich on a bagel was very good, the aoli was perhaps jarred (and not as good). Overall, nice enough place with a good varied menu. A bit difficult to carry on a conversation beneath the driving music though. Atmosphere is important. Maybe some would love it.“

There was a generous amount of nachos in fact she took more than half of it home. They were super light and crispy which she has never had before. Since my daughter is by choice gluten free ( not celiacs) she ordered the chocolate cake as well..while it was good it did have a slightly unusual back end flavor which she didn't care for. The cake was still good in my option. The sushi was decent, akin to what you'd expect from a mall location, as it's situated in Ridgedale Center. The service was top-notch - our server was both friendly and attentive. “We had the BEST girls night taking Amy's macaroon making class! Located in downtown Hopkins is the cutest little bakery. The class takes place in the back kitchen area where they have designated baking stations with all the tools, equipment and ingredients set up for you! We had so much fun being able to pick out our own colors, fillings, and flavors. Im a red velvet girlie and my friend chose to do a fun, champagne filling flavor! There were so many flavors and colors to choose from, you really can't go wrong! Amy, the owner, leads the class and is so kind, down-to-earth and helpful with every step. There's a break halfway through the class to allow for your macaroons to bake. This is the perfect time to grab a quick drink or bite to eat at one of the nearby bars or restaurants. Although I doubt I could ever re-create these master piece macaroons on my own without Amy's expertise and help, it was a really great experience and the best, most delicious macaroons I've ever had! We each came out with a big batch and box of our own personal creations and was able to enjoy them for days after!! I highly recommend the class or just stopping by to purchase for the best macaroons ever!!“

“Came in around 3pm for a quick snack. We ordered drinks at the bar and the firecracker shrimp and the chicken avocado egg rolls. We have gotten the firecracker shrimp appetizer and are never let down! Just incredible and they are cooked in a swirl shape, making a fun app. The chicken avo egg roles were much larger than expected. Very good, but the chicken pieces were pretty large and not as much shredded as expected. Service was great! Food was hot and came out fast. It was quiet and or back during this not peak time.“

I struggled to find orange egg yolks… most people will not find them. Prices at the Eden Prairie restaurant are low considering quality. Note that all “Original Pancake House” restaurants are not the same. Quality varies… greatly. Eden Prairie and Edina are same owners. They get everything right.Gratuity tip: breakfast is generally less expensive than dinner and lunch… probably because it is possible to make cheap breakfast and that is usual. When breakfast is this good it requires the same gratuity standard as dinner, maybe more so because server timing is so important. I have been to the EP OHP many times with as many as 12 people. Never once unfriendly or weak service. It can be very busy and require waiting. In summer the outside service is beautiful.“
