“We had a reservation for 7 - in the notes I specified 6 adults and a high chair. I could see our table had 7 adult seating's so I had to ask the hostess to fix that. Also specified we were there for a birthday celebration, again those notes must not make their way to the actual restaurant or they don't read them. When we checked in (we were 14 minutes early) for our reservation we were told we couldn't be seated until our actual reservation time. The restaurant had plenty of help and we didn't have our complete party with us which they knew and we were not expecting to order right away rather we just wanted to sit and relax. The food and waitress were great“

“I’ve been here three times already and it never misses. Huge shout-out to their lamb sandwiches and of course, the handmade noodles. I’ve tried a few types, but the extra-thin ones in their soups are my favorite. Everything I’ve had so far has been great, full of flavor, and made with care. This place really fills a gap for something like this in Minneapolis, and I’m so happy to have it so close to home!“

“We absolutely love Rainbow Chinese! The food is always fresh and delicious. My go-to quick comfort food is their warm sesame noodles. My partner enjoys their General Tso’s Chicken every time. The restaurant itself is beautiful and I love seeing the fish in the tank when we dine in (but the food is also hot and packed great if you get to go). This place clearly has been created with love!“

“I just witnessed an amazing customer service experience while I waited to pick up my daughter from work. Amy walked a customer (very slowly and carefully), along with his order to his truck, which was waiting in the handicap parking spot outside of the restaurant. She placed the food on the passenger side. They chatted a couple minutes and then she helped him into his truck. I had to go into the restaurant to thank her for her kindness. I will be a regular customer from now on. Faith in humanity restored!!“

“Love this place! Always great food and service. My favorite dish is the sesame chicken combination platter. It comes with chicken, fried rice and an egg roll. I also get a side of cream cheese wontons. I order from here at least once a month!“

“This one is a pretty solid Hong Kong style restaurant located inside Asia Mall in Eden Prairie, MN. It is on the first floor on the right side next to Kiefer bakery. This is also another HK style restaurant with real roast duck and roast pork. Surprisingly this place is not as busy as Mandarin Kitchen (MK) or Hong Kong Noodles (HKN) during the weekend. There are some plusses from this place: 1. They have Lunch Specials everyday, not just M-F like most others. 2. Their price for the quantity and quality is much better compared to MK or HKN 3. They do not charge extra for tea. 4. They do not automatically 18 percent gratuity in their bill. 5. Their service is much better than the other HK style restaurants with servers often refilling your drinks and removing or replacing your plates without being requested.
My recommendation: #1. Roast Duck and Roast Pork over rice for $18.50. #2. Pork and Egg Porridge for $6.50. Can't beat that price and quality. They also have live lobsters apparently but I did not try them yet.“

“Fiancé ran over to get some take out. I asked for the steamed veggies/white rice from the diet menu. He knows I don't like mushrooms, so he asked if the dish had them. It does, but they prepared an order without them for me. Those veggies were WONDERFUL, and the white rice was perfect--(NOT all dried out, like some places). The sauce that was included may have been for the veggies, or may have been for fiancé's order of beef w/peapods and mushrooms...either way, there was plenty; and it was wonderful on my rice and veggies! “This place has still got it. Very hole-in-the-wall vibes, but the pho is the best I've found in Minneapolis and the burbs. Bun with pork and spring rolls (#46) is also very good, and don't sleep on the VN Wings! They are not an appetizer as much as they are a hearty side. The flavor is intensely good, so if you have a sensitive pallete, they may be too much for you.

The owner is kind and helpful, and the rest of the family is pretty great, too.

The Vietnamese side of the menu is really where they shine, so pass on your orange chicken and get some pho or something.“

“Visited the Golden Valley, MN location after a busy day. We didn’t realized they closed at 8:30 pm. There was a staff that was taking out the trash. “This is a strictly take out/ delivery place so there is no dine in option. The storefront is purely functional and serves as semi storage for restaurant materials. That said, the food is good. I had a bad experience here maybe 12 years ago but it has clearly changed ownership and chefs since then. The food here is SOLID for that nostalgic American Chinese food! The hot and sour soup is epitome of what it should be (I was raised in my parents’ Chinese restaurants so I know) and the fried wing appetizers are terrific. My kids are obsessed. We also always get General Tso’s Chicken which every kid loves. I’ve also enjoyed Singapore noodles and Indonesian fried chicken ice here. Super glad to have a decent Chinese takeout in my neighborhood!“

I usually do take out but at this location the atmosphere is a fun place to dine in.
My favorite part about the experience are two employees Gabi and Daniela. Their pleasant personalities and service oriented attitudes are always fantastic.“

We live 35 minutes south of Mpls and this is the only Chinese takeout my family will have cuz they’re that GOOD!!!
Fresh, Real Chix breast chunks and a delicious sauce combined to make the most consistent dish we’ve ever had.
Will continue to enjoy when coming to the cities.

“Best Pho I've had in MN. Definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for Pho. With Pho, it's about the broth and the broth has a good depth of flavor. Good amount of toppings to add and just overall perfectly satisfying. We did not try the other selections today but judging from the full flavors of the soup, I am confident in the other food selections. Can't wait to return to try the Banh Mi Sandwiches another day.“

“Saigon Pho Tempo is my go-to for all my pho needs! Their pho broth is rich with deep flavor, and it’s always consistent, which I really appreciate. I always know that my pho will be amazing every single time I order it, and it also travels extremely well when I take it home to enjoy! They also make a Thai tea that is absolutely insane. They brew the tea themselves, not the powder, and you can taste the difference. It’s my “at least once a week” meal that I enjoy, and it’s my comfort food I just love. You would be doing yourself a huge favor to come and see what all the talk is about!“

The chicken was perfectly crunchy on the outside and incredibly moist and tender on the inside — exactly how fried chicken should be. The fried rice was a great side, flavorful and well-seasoned, making the meal feel hearty and satisfying. On top of the great food, the staff is always friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s clear they care about their customers and the community.
