“We had a reservation for 7 - in the notes I specified 6 adults and a high chair. I could see our table had 7 adult seating's so I had to ask the hostess to fix that. Also specified we were there for a birthday celebration, again those notes must not make their way to the actual restaurant or they don't read them. When we checked in (we were 14 minutes early) for our reservation we were told we couldn't be seated until our actual reservation time. The restaurant had plenty of help and we didn't have our complete party with us which they knew and we were not expecting to order right away rather we just wanted to sit and relax. The food and waitress were great“

“I have been eating at this restaurant since 1989 it is unfailing great every time I stop in. It almost doesnt matter what you get, it will be fresh, delicious and fairly priced. That said of particular note are three items that in my opinion must be tried as they are the best example of the item within hundreds of miles. The first is the Schezuan Wontons, absolutely perfect balance of flavors and a great way to whet your appetite. Second the garlic string beans, I have tried for twenty plus years to replicate these now that I live sixty five miles away and I'm getting close but still haven't quite got it down. Again the balance of salt and umami flavor makes my heart pitter patter and no other place in the cities even comes close. Third is the peanut noodles which can come hot or cold and are a perfect appetizer to the honey walnut shrimp. Come to think of it that is the fourth dish no one else comes close to. Corn starch dusted shrimp deep fried and tossed in a sweetened condensed milk sauce with orange zest and toasted carmelized walnuts is rich and decadent.
I'm bummed the Vietnamese coffee has been dropped from the menu but given it appears food regulations have killed the traditional way it was served everywhere in the cities maybe that is a good thing because the places that still have it don't make it the way they used to and it isn't as good now.“

My daughter didn't know how to eat the crawfish or shrimp and the worker came over to show her. Absolutely awesome of them. Totally weird but the toilet paper was so nice. “This is a strictly take out/ delivery place so there is no dine in option. The storefront is purely functional and serves as semi storage for restaurant materials. That said, the food is good. I had a bad experience here maybe 12 years ago but it has clearly changed ownership and chefs since then. The food here is SOLID for that nostalgic American Chinese food! The hot and sour soup is epitome of what it should be (I was raised in my parents’ Chinese restaurants so I know) and the fried wing appetizers are terrific. My kids are obsessed. We also always get General Tso’s Chicken which every kid loves. I’ve also enjoyed Singapore noodles and Indonesian fried chicken ice here. Super glad to have a decent Chinese takeout in my neighborhood!“

“We ordered from the lunch special (M-Sat), sesame chicken with pork fried rice and wonton soup, orange chicken with chicken fried rice and wonton soup, and pork egg foo young with a crispy egg roll. In sum, delicious food! I'd say this is a contender for another mom's and pop's Chinese restaurant that also makes savory, delish, pork fried rice. Usually, I get very thirsty after eating Chinese take out, but this time was different. The level of salt in the food is perfect (not salty at all) and the amount we paid, about $8.95 to 9.95 per combo meal is excellent at this age and time.“

We come here often and even visited for Christmas dinner last year — our experience is consistently exceptional.

Right off the bat this place is CLEAN. Floors, tables, everything is really tidy and sanitary.
You'll be brought a pot complimentary jasmine tea right away which is heavenly. Truly the best jasmine tea I've had; not even remotely bitter tasting like other green teas. They must brew it very carefully.

The service is always speedy too, regardless of how busy it is, every time we are surprised by how quickly our fresh food is ready! They’re efficient in the kitchen.

Our favorite thing on the menu is the Garlic Fried Sole fish! It melts in your mouth and the portion size is massive so it's a perfect entree to split.

The Asia Mall is fun to check out before or after dinner; we like to walk around the market afterward and take home some milk teas and candy. Parking is easy with the lot out front.

This really is a great destination; ever since Pagoda moved to Roseville we’d been missing our favorite Cantonese dishes and HomeTaste is easily the best Cantonese / Chinese food in the western part of the twin cities.“

Been enjoying the General’s Chix and Wonton soup from Fresh Wok since 1997.
We live 35 minutes south of Mpls and this is the only Chinese takeout my family will have cuz they’re that GOOD!!!
Fresh, Real Chix breast chunks and a delicious sauce combined to make the most consistent dish we’ve ever had.
Will continue to enjoy when coming to the cities.

“I live in Wisconsin, but I'm from Minnesota originally. This place is the hidden gem. Literally the best Chinese food I've ever had in my life. The chicken is high quality. And the Fried Rice is to die for. I'm telling you 10 out of 10.“

A Chin Dynasty (2 half-entrees with rice) or an Imperial Plate (1 half-entree and 1 half-appetizer with rice) will usually result with leftovers for me. The Peking Chicken is a fan favorite. Their Bo Luc Lac is also good usually, except today when it is somewhat less marinated or something. “Saigon Pho Tempo is my go-to for all my pho needs! Their pho broth is rich with deep flavor, and it’s always consistent, which I really appreciate. I always know that my pho will be amazing every single time I order it, and it also travels extremely well when I take it home to enjoy! They also make a Thai tea that is absolutely insane. They brew the tea themselves, not the powder, and you can taste the difference. It’s my “at least once a week” meal that I enjoy, and it’s my comfort food I just love. You would be doing yourself a huge favor to come and see what all the talk is about!“

The beef and broccoli was a bit bland but not at all over cooked which did help the dish. Fried dumplings were large and very fresh tasting. Their heat was out on the coldest week of the year and yet the staff was awesome. Very kind people. We will be returning to this place frequently and it was a very good find. No where is perfect. The chicken was perfectly crunchy on the outside and incredibly moist and tender on the inside — exactly how fried chicken should be. “I stumbled on this place accidentally ?I was going to rainbow and then met “The Cookie Man” and he told me that they sell his cookies at this restaurant so I was only going to the store for the cookies but then the other day I asked a customer how was the food, the man said it was the best fried rice in Minneapolis. I said “what, it hits like that, I got to try it…” and I did. Now for my beautiful ladies with babies, y’all know how it is when a craving hits and you like “it better be on point or else!” I ordered a small order of the shrimp fried rice and although it is simple without all the mixed vegetables and such it is very good. I got to the car food was fresh, I mean burn your mouth fresh, took the first bite and it reminded me of this amazing restaurant we HAD back home called King Fong in downtown Omaha. It was the best fried rice. ??????This is a runner up. So that says a lot. Anybody that know about King Fong in Omaha know about King Fong! ???

Anyways the service is good, speedy and I have not had a problem always nice and friendly and they laugh when I order only cookies previously but now…ordering the cookies and the fried rice. Oh for those that are into the details like that of the dish it is brown rice (I believe it is colored with flavored additives). It has white and green onions, eggs and bean sprouts again simple but comparable to a lot of fried rice that has to add all the extra fixings just to give it flavor this place is great for minimal ingredients with a mouthful of flavor. Don’t even need to add the soy sauce. Again my review is specific to the shrimp fried rice and cookies. Happy eating y’all!
