“This is a pretty good bar to grab a seat on the 4th, which doesnt start on the 4th but actually the 3rd in Gilbert. It's 8 in the morning and you are running on 4 hours of sleep that was preceded by 12 hours of drinking on main st GB. You have a vodka collins in one hand and a screwdriver in the other , waiting for snickers to start serving pizza for a decent breakfast. As with any Range bar, the pours are epic and will knock amateurs on their a*** Most likely my 6th grade teacher will end up serving a drink or two to ya. There is "stategery" here. Start at the Roosevelt, move to Snickers and then roll up to the Elks for drinking the rest of the day.“

“We really enjoyed our food (my clubhouse sandwich was delicious), and prices were reasonable. We felt bad for our server who was literally running from table to table to try and take care of everyone. She really could've used backup, the poor thing.“

“Just went to Sue's Penalty Box for the first time last Friday for karaoke! I got the pleasure of meeting Sue who was working behind the bar and she was fantastic and pleasantly kind. Out back is a nice patio with decent space. Happy to go back again someday soon. Thanks Sue!“

“Well besides this place belonging to our family member, Jeff it's just a fun place to come and hang out. Grab a beer, watch the game, play some pool, etc. it's absolutely one of those hole in the wall bars that you'd absolutely love. Come on down, check this place out cause you won't regret it. Here at Poppers they are constantly finding ways to include the community like their bean bag tosses, pool tournaments, and even have often a pot luck where everyone brings a little something to try. “My favorite bar on the Range! It’s always clean and has a good atmosphere. Bartenders are always friendly, personable, entertaining, & on top of their game; the second time I went there the bartender already remembered what I like to drink plus I didn’t have to remind them what I was drinking when I was ready for a refill! Met some many amazing people there and have always had fun while feeling safe & taken care of which is important when you’re a female alone at a bar! I’ve been to many bars and have never felt more welcomed than at Rainy, also I’ve noticed they seem to experience way way less drama than other bars which is a good sign that they take care of the environment to ensure we all enjoy ourselves! I’ve even seen the bartenders give someone a ride home so they didn’t drink & drive! & They have TouchTunes so you can play whatever music you want either using cash at the machine or downloading the app to use your card so you don’t even have to leave your seat! Even better if you get hungry they offer free popcorn or for a dollar or two you can even have snacks like chips, beef sticks, nuts & candy. They don’t have a restaurant anymore but they make THE BEST frozen pizzas I’ve ever had in my life! the pizzas are Giovanni’s brand which you can’t find around this area, chicken bacon ranch is my favorite or try their pizza fries!! Another thing I love about them is that they actually have a book of shot recipes and a book for cocktail recipes so you’ll never run out of new things to try! Overall I feel you can’t find a better bar! they never discriminate for any reason which I have also found to be a problem at other bars. So with all their great service & hospitality, the beautiful interior of the bar, big selection of wine beer & spirits, & the selection of food that you don’t find at other bars, they get 5 stars from me for making me feel like I’m at a second home“

“Nick's was not listed under restaurants on Tripadvior, but I heard good things. So we got out the old convertible on a beautiful sunny day and cruised over. Friendly service, comfortable decor and terrific food--you have to compete in a small town with 10 bars :) Highly recommended, we will be back!“

“I went to Leon George’s funeral in Gilbert, MN., August 2021. The bartender was so awesome as were the patrons. I want to go back in the summer and check out the iron ores. Leon’s relatives were very accommodating and receptive to our visit.“

“Small town with an amazing bar. The service was amazing. You walk in and are greeted with the utmost courtesy. The menu ranged from burgers with all the fixings to Philly cheese steak. You can tell that they use quality ingredients the moment it is placed in front of you. Everything was exploding with flavor. If you are ever in the Iron Range this is place is a must stop for any food connoisseur.“
