“It's a good bar to hang out at. The bar tenders are pretty prompt to get you a drink. Thurs is free chicken wings from 3-6 and Fri is free pizza with the purchase of a beverage. They have bands Thurs through Saturday with a mix of rock and country. There is also lots of TVs for those sports fans as well as a football board.“
“Blackwoods catered my son’s wedding yesterday. Overall we would recommend them, but there were a few glitches. The tablecloths we picked up from them the day before the wedding were the wrong size and, despite being sealed in plastic, there were quite a few set in stains. I phoned and left a message about the issue, and no one bothered to return my call. Not a promising start. On the day of the wedding, the staff arrived on time, and everything was set up and ready to go as planned. For the most part the food was good, but the ham was awful. It was tough and the pieces were cut into huge chunks, many of which were full of fat and gristle. We had people who normally love ham refusing to eat it. Since it was one of the main dishes, the ham was a huge disappointment, especially for the money paid. The turkey, however, was moist and tasty. The staff members were helpful and professional. They willingly boxed up leftovers for the wedding couple, which was much appreciated, and they left the church kitchen clean.“

“Stopped in yesterday for lunch! Great service at the counter when we ordered. Food took about 15 minutes. Brother got the special sandwich of the day and devoured it. Such a good size for lunch! I got the pesto bruschetta - it was huge! The pesto was delicious, the tomatoes were fresh and the cheese was the perfect amount. 10/10 recommend. My mom got the summer salad with blue berries, strawberries, nuts and cheese. BIG salad but so yummy and fresh. We got to sit outside, enjoy the sunshine and the 60 degree day in March!! The host was very nice and friendly, he was able to explain the nuances of the different beverages they offered. If you would like to try something new and different this is the place to go. All of the taps open with a wristband that you receive at the door. After you get your wristband, you are free to pour your own of whatever you wish. you are charged by the ounce for the beverage you choose or if you choose a flight you get to sample all of them and decide which is the best for you. Get yourself a flight and try new things. they're also very progressive in the sense that they are working with local breweries in a symbiotic relationship that betters the community and the business. “Went to eat on fish fry night with family and had to stand until seats opened up. Fish was nice and not too hard, rather flaky. Most tables are high top. They do have handicap ramp but not a great seat up inside for it. They often have live music. My suggestion to the owners though is make the parking lot more than earth either gravel or pavement, also add more light at night. I'm glad my rents didn't slip on the icy mud and unseen ruts.Parking: Ruddy earth parking but big. Muddy when wet.Wheelchair accessibility: Have a ramp but most of the tables are high top.“

We have had eggs benedict many other places and they were better and less pricey. We’d probably come back to try other items though.“

Also the place is so very small that on its busiest times of the evening you are elbow to elbow with people. “My husband and I met at Shortys in 2020 and were devastated when they closed shortly after. We use to say we’d never get to go back to the place we met. But when Bucktails moved into the building we couldn’t be happier. My husband is a huge fan of American food, and I could eat Mexican food everyday, all day. Having both on their menu, we found our new favorite spot. When we got married, we knew we wanted to celebrate where we met, and Bucktails was more than happy to make that possible. We had a party of roughly 50 people who were ALL impressed by the food and service. Staff was amazing to work with and were so great the entire night. When food ran out, they were quick to throw more in the oven for us and bring it out. They had had pool, darts, and karaoke. Everyone had such an amazing time. I can’t recommend this place enough!! The food here is phenomenal especially their chicken and waffles If I had had to rate this food I would give this a 9/10 the flavor combination is delicious and is unique! After tasting the burger and cheese curds I almost went to cloud 9! I would rate the cheese curds a 8.6/10 and the burger a 6/10. We tried the softshell, hardshell, and homemade tacos. All of them were really really good especially the homemade one which I believe is a flour tortilla lightly fried.
