It was pretty good. Huge piece of fish. I ordered to go. It's a 45 min to an hour drive home. Once I got home, put some in air fryer to warm up. It re heats very well.

Nice neighborhood vibe! Saw about this place on a travel video and was happy to go. They were jammed, even on a Wednesday night, but my waitress got me a table without too long of a wait and was very nice and helpful. The shepherd's pie was VERY good, and I had the special guest local hard cider on tap that was solid. Hope to make it back there someday!

Really good fish and chips. I love cod it’s one of my favorites. And the tartar sauce is amazing, the best tartar sauce I’ve ever had and I’m not even a tartar sauce person… don’t pass up the tartar sauce! The coleslaw was really good too! I’m picky about my coleslaw and this one is a winner.

I live up the block and have to limit my exposure here to once a month to prevent more, ahem, expansive trends. Really big, deep-fried cod fillet and gorgeous chips. I add a little vinegar to the purple, raisiny cole slaw and eat my fish with that, saving a hundred calories by not getting tartar sauce. Don't make the faux pas of ordering malt vinegar... Irish pubs apparently use white. Oh yeah, local ciders, Irish ales, and pasties, burgers, poutine, gravy. Get a reservation online. Afterward, walk down to the Mississippi and find the park to watch the sunset.Parking: A few spots in back. Park on a side street. Take Metrotransit route 11 and get off at 13th Ave NE.

I only go here for the fish, and it's always excellent. Crispy and hot. Cannot comment on the other food, but it all looks good. Quality ingredients and decent prices. Staff is friendly and the place is overall clean and orderly.

3.75* (out of 5) Food: 4* Atmosphere: 4* Value: 4* Service: 3* 03/29/2024 Our son recommended this place, so we gave it a try during our Good Friday visit. There is a definite British feel to the place, starting with the building's facade and continuing inside...including the beer selection. It is definitely quite busy, so be sure to make reservations before you head over for a meal. As it was Good Friday, we all ordered the Fish & Chips (see pictures), so unlike my other posts, there wasn't a variety of foods to compare. Both the fish and chips (fries) were quite tasty. The fish was moist and flaky with a crispy, golden batter coating and the fries were above average - golden brown crunch on the outside and soft potato inside. This is a solid pub experience with good food and a good selection of tap beers at the bar. The only thing that I marked as average was the Service. While possibly caused by how busy the restaurant was, our server was very task-oriented, didn't seem all that happy and wasn't overly friendly. We also felt a little hurried and cramped. Best in the Twin Cities for fish and chips like what I'm used to in England. Slightly surprised they're using white vinegar instead of malt, and the paper-in-a-basket approach can be a bit of a pain if your chips are drenched in curry sauce, but all in all a good experience.
