The BBQ pork bahn mi sandwich was an absolute delight! The mix of tender pork, fresh veggies, and crusty bread was just heavenly. It's a must-try for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal. Vellee really nailed it with this sandwich!

I came in for lunch and it was lovely! Fantastic cocktails and the bartender was so kind. Not to mention the food! I had the Duck Confit Banh Mi and it was absolutely delicious! Awesome little spot and even the Togo boxes are perfect!

Spicy Thai Tofu Bowl(Tofu, red bell peppers, straw mushrooms, potatoes, romaine lettuce, seasoned rice and zing sauce)I was not a fan of coconut curry flavors until visiting Vellee a few days ago. I called an audible and ordered the Spicy Thai Tofu Bowl. Before we walked in the door, I just knew I was going to order the Korean BBQ bowl. I am delighted I was wrong. The chef perfectly dialed the spice level (#2) to my hopefulness, partnering it well with the zing sauce. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a zing sauce, but it was persuasive enough to make me change my mind about curries. The creamy coconut sauce covered the fresh ingredients with comforting casualness. The sauce to rice ratio was good – as was the sweet to heat ratio. My favorite surprise ingredient was the potato! It felt like it belonged all along. I left Vellee very satisfied, wanting nothing more or less. The vibe was as energetic as the boom box display on the far wall. I intend to go back again in attempt to get the Korean BBQ bowl.

I had gone to their skyway location before and enjoyed a bahn mi from there, so I was glad to see they opened a second location. The person taking my order was very friendly and gave me a lot of recommendations. I later found out she was the owner. She is clearly very passionate about her business, and I hope to see it do well. This time, I got the dragon quesadilla and the Korean BBQ taco. The quesadilla was good but I really enjoyed the Korean BBQ taco. I got my food at a level 1 spice and it had a good amount of kick to it. While waiting for my to-go order, I got a cocktail (Mai-jito) and that was good too. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back soon!Only negative: the parking is a little hard to find, but it's on the corner of 1st Ave NE & 4th St NEDietary restrictions: They offered gluten free/sensitive options as well as vegetarian (I didn't check for vegan)Parking: The parking lot is at 1st Ave NE & 4th St NE. You park at the Nord Haus apartments (I think under "retail"). I think they validate parking but I'm not sure. I just parked at West Photo across the street (do at your own risk).

Went to Whitey's. Definitely not the vibe. Went to Stray Dog. Got ignored by a suburban lumberjack for 15 minutes and moved on. Wasn't sure where to go next. And then we found Vellee, and I'm so glad we did. The food comes from the husband wife owners family recipe books and the service makes you feel like I guest their home.I cannot recommend this place enough. And I'm so picky. Just go. You won't regret it.

First time was an absolute delight. You order on your phone and that in itself was such a smooth process! We ordered a couple tacos and a burrito to share. Each item was so different and had insane flavor. I am so impressed & will be talking about this until I get to come here again. 10/10 some of the best food I’ve had in Minneapolis!!!

We had the Korean Burrito and the Chicken Curry Burrito. The flavors were great, the price is affordable for the atmosphere provided. Unfortunately, the burritos were lacking texture. All the fillings in both burritos had a similar mush texture. I would recommend toasting the tortillas after forming the burrito, substituting the lettuce for cabbage, or at least providing a handful of chips with the burrito for some crunch. I really wish the Korean burrito had something additional that was Korean or Hispanic other than the kimchi and rice. Like pickled zucchini, or guac. We came in thinking of Burrigato that existed in dinky town our favorite thing in their burritos was a wok fried egg.We definitely will be back, and want this place to succeed. Hopefully they listen to helpful criticism.

Cute non disciplined restaurant. You order from. You phone using the QR code at the table. The food came out quickly. I had the Korean bowl which was good. Parking can be difficult to find since there is no lot.

Fave Restaurant in the city! I've been a fan of Vellee Deli since their food trucks days and am so happy they have multiple spaces now! The NE location is always so bright and chill. The breakfast sandwiches are top notch. Also, the food holds up well for take out!

Vellee is a fantastic take on Asian fusion food. Their crossover between Asian and Mexican creates to-die-for burritos and bowls. We went here on a Tuesday during their 6:30-8:30 trivia night. It's a fun local crew that didn't take it too seriously. We did notice they were lacking a drink selection. There were alcoholic menu items but no option to deviate from pre-selected cocktails. All told - a great spot, and we will be back!

To put it simply, this place is top notch. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is incredible, and the service was above and beyond. This place should be your number one choice for your next stop. Quick for lunch, cozy for dinner, or simply grab and go. You won’t be disappointed.
