Meat had the look, taste and texture like it was soaking in a bath of grease and water; without much flavor. Shells were somewhat stale and quickly got soggy from all the liquid in the meat. Vegetables didn't seem very fresh and the salsa was very watery. We were very disappointed.Items on the toppings bar are not labeled and appear to be at room temperature.
We absolutely love Giliberto's and were thrilled when they opened, as they are very similar to Filiberto's on the west coast, which we love and miss. It's completely hit or miss and unfortunately, it's been more miss as time goes on. Places usually get better over time but almost every time we go now, someone's disappointed. Everything about this place is what I wanted when I found them online while in town for the night. Everything brought em back to Mexico eating street tacos. The place is super small which to me makes it even better, just an awesome atmosphere. If I lived here I’d go here several times a week but will come back to Gilberto’s when I am back in owatonna! Absolutely great on all accounts. A job well done thank you for letting me relive my youth in Mexico
