Wish the menu said what is in most of the food they sell, didn't know my taco salad would have huge scoops of guacamole & sour cream in it then it did chicken or lettuce. Also took a while for anyone to come to the register.

I eat here regularly as I get off work at 2am. The food has at times been inconsistent but never bad. Just ordered Carne Asada and Chicharron Tacos. Lots of meat and toppings with lime and red sauce. Yes the tacos are stacked but im not sure why that is a problem for some people. You eat one and let the extra fall into the next.I will continue to come here and i hope they don't change there hours as my work friends and I like to come here as well after work.

Everything about this place is what I wanted when I found them online while in town for the night. Everything brought em back to Mexico eating street tacos. The place is super small which to me makes it even better, just an awesome atmosphere. If I lived here I’d go here several times a week but will come back to Gilberto’s when I am back in owatonna! Absolutely great on all accounts. A job well done thank you for letting me relive my youth in Mexico

False advertising, drive through menu prices are not updated. I ordered a steak Ranchero and it said $9. I get my food with no receipt. So I asked for a reciept and the price was $13+tax charged.I asked for a refund for the cost difference and she said prices are correct in store not drive-through. I asked for them to please update the pricing and she ignored the request.Food is hit or miss. But bad customer service is obvious. Do not recommend.

Meat had the look, taste and texture like it was soaking in a bath of grease and water; without much flavor. Shells were somewhat stale and quickly got soggy from all the liquid in the meat. Vegetables didn't seem very fresh and the salsa was very watery. We were very disappointed.Items on the toppings bar are not labeled and appear to be at room temperature.
