“The atmosphere & service are great first impressions to this restaurant. Menu has so many good items that it was hard to settle onto just one entree for our lunch here. Country fried steak w/ mashed potatoes, cole slaw and a dinner roll was delicious and an incredible value for the price. I can't wait to eat here again when visiting Pequot Lakes.“

“Went there for the New Years Eve Buffet. Absolutely delicious. Prime Rib made perfectly, crab legs, ribs, chicken, lobster bisque - all so delicious. And a wonderful assortment of excellent desserts. Doesn't get any better. Couldn't be more impressed. Great great job to the kitchen and wait staff.“

“Nice bar grub place with decent food and generous portions. The steak tips were really good and I enjoyed the horseradish steak sauce that came with them. My wife had the brisket dinner and she enjoyed it as well. It's not the cheapest bar grub place I've ever been to, but then again, you are in tourist country.Overall a very solid 4.5 stars, especially because of the super friendly service.Advice: save yourself the $4 for the add-on shrimp, they are not worth it.“

“Stopped in for supper on the way home, and were pleasantly surprised after hearing some less-than-stellar word of mouth reviews. The atmosphere was nice, with lots of exposed natural-look wood and a homey feel to the bar (kind of a cabin-y look, which I personally enjoy.). The staff were friendly and attentive, and we got our food quickly. Someone at the next table tried the burger challenge, which looked pretty impressive all stacked up (they did not finish, unsurprisingly.)We got a couple of burgers - one mushroom & swiss and one bacon burger. Food was cooked perfectly and very tasty; definitely one of the better burgers I have had in this area. My partner had the cheese curds and they were cooked just right - definitely some of the best we've tried. Portion sizes were very fair for the price. We didn't have any drinks, but the tap selection looked very thorough.I understand Bites is under new management since our visit, and I hope they continue to be successful. We will definitely remember this place on our future travels.“

“We come here when we have special occasions, or just in the mood for food that makes you get excited. A refreshing change from the steak and potato options in the area, although they have great steaks, as well.The menu is updated often and we’ve never had anything we didn’t love. We are always left raving about what we ate there for days, excited to get back. The wine selection and cocktails are always on point, as well.Kid-friendliness: Unless your children are adventurous eaters and can sit through a meal without getting antsy, I would not recommend bringing them to this intimate dining setting.“

“Food are delicious and the services are excellent. I am vegetarian and was able to order Fettuccine. My wife said that the salmon was very good. It's not crowded because we were their early spring (April 2024) and the restaurant is tidy and clean. It has overlooking view.“
