“Always a joy to visit West Indies Soul Food. They have a food truck and a booth at the Minnesota State Fair. They keep cooking up delicious treats every year. The jerk chicken pizza and the jerk pork chop on a stick were both amazing! Great food, authentic flavor, and a friendly crew. I’m excited for the upcoming restaurant location! West Indies Soul Food is a must have in the St. Paul area.“
“I'm a staunch supporter of restaurants blazing the trail for tipless pricing as it tends to be more equitable for staff and simpler and more transparent for all. Brasa is tipless, saying it pays its workers $16-25/hr, and it does everything right: delicious rotisserie chicken (pollo a la brasa), tasty sides (the spicy creamed spinach wasn't actually spicy hot, but it was tangy and creamy), fast service, and reasonable prices---remember, no tipping expected. The two-piece rotisserie plate is $15 as of this writing and is enough to satisfy most appetites. An excellent deal for food this delicious and well-prepared. The décor and vibe is very nice too.“
“Food took one hour to get done, and then the pot stickers were cold so they were not sticking, sauce was not good and it was all noodles, barely any chicken, which is good because the chicken tasted nasty like it was sitting there for daaaayyys, at the end they gave me little spring rolls for free to bribe me, which obviously worked and made me happy, but I wouldn’t come back here“
“Tasty food! Happy to have some choices for Jamaican cuisine here in the Twin Cities Big Up all West Indian people.. We need to promote establishments such as this; we’ll definitely be making future trips.. I don’t mind the 45min ride to get some amazing Oxtail/ Rice and Peas… patties..& a cold Cola Champagne! Just saying.. would not mind some Soup? CowFoot? .. possibly Escovitch?… OMG that’s good eating!?? ??“
