I've been to better locations. Food was ok and service was the same. No ice in the ice machine and I don't see any excuse for that.

The nachos were so good and such a good portion, will definitely be coming back!

Tried 3 different tacos and a chips with guacamole.#1 Pork Taco - really good#2 Grilled Baja Shrimp Taco - Not edible! WAY too salty, shrimp were hard and rubbery.#3 Grilled Fish Taco - Horrible!! I don't know what kind of fish they use but it was terrible. Any place I have ever ordered a grilled fish taco, the fish is always a white meat fish. This fish tasted like an odd mix of salmon and tuna fish from a can. One bite and I couldn't even finish chewing it, it tasted that bad.Chips with Guacamole - Wouldn't order it again. The chips were great. The guacamole had no chunks of avocado, it had an odd taco seasoning in it that made it too salty and overpowered the avocado taste guacamole should have. Based on the color and texture of the guacamole it was obvious it was not made that day and was probably 3 days old. Took a few bites and tossed it.It's a shame the food wasn't better. The atmosphere is really cool. I had high hopes, unfortunately, they were not met at all.

5 years back we went here pretty frequently so we decided to stop by yesterday for dinner. I want to give a 3 star but I'm going with 4 due to the fact that I *think* the problem was due to short staffing. There were only 2 employees working and they Rusty Taco it was very busy when we went. They were handling it like champs but you could tell that it was incredibly difficult. I felt horrible for them. Making two individuals handle everything during dinner rush is pretty harsh and destined to have some chaos.I ordered 3 brisket tacos, husband got a Philly taco and 2 fajita tacos. We also got nachos with queso. For the tacos we grabbed every salsa except the mild. The queso fresco was missing from the brisket tacos which was a bummer. I felt too bad for the people working to have them correct it and just ate the meat/onion mix that had very minimal cilantro. It wasn't very good. The fajita and philly tacos were quite good. The salsas are excellent mixed together.Rusty tacos nachos are wonderful- crisp fried can't stop eating nachos with very decent queso (unless it's cold- do not eat it cold, it's not very good). I suggest getting extra nachos to take home, they are the truly fantastic. We were lucky enough to get the only outdoor table available, it seats 4. This Rusty Taco is located in a tight location so it's surprising they were able to fit even one table outside. The outdoor table is directly next to the smoking area for ? employees? There's a bucket that says butts nearby against the building so I assume that's what it is anyways. Just a heads up if you're averse to smoke.Rusty Taco is very accessible for wheelchairs, the counter, tables and bathroom are all easy to access with everything in eyesight, reach, and no obstacles moving around. There is a decent lip to get into the bathroom so if you have small casters you may have to pop to get in. That's the only thing I noticed that might be an issue for some. Awesomely -you can use the mirror while in your chair and the paper towels are right next to the sink.To sum it up, it was busy and short staffed so nothing was great except the nachos. Employees were wonderful for the situation they were put in. We'll try again in the future.Wheelchair accessibility: Rusty Taco is very accessible for wheelchairs, the counter, tables and bathroom are all easy to access with everything in eyesight, reach, and no obstacles moving around. I remember Rusty taco being a decent hip fast food joint. I would call ahead before you come to this Saint Paul location.l, was turned away and all I wanted was one, maybe two tacos. Maybe Rusty Taco is that cool where they can pick and choose who they serve, but I’ll take my money elsewhere to a place that doesn’t discriminate.

Excellent tacos, among the best I've found in the twin cities. We tried fish, pork, chicken and black bean tacos, the black bean being the best. Chips and queso were also very good. Service was friendly and fadt. Overall a bit pricey, but then isn't everyplace?

40 minute wait for 4 tacos and 1 dessert. What a shame because the food was delicious. The manager tried telling the cook to prepare a larger quantity of food at once and he said “I just make them as they’re ordered.” Manager continued to discuss the issue with him and he said “I don’t mind doing it this way.” On the plus side, the manager made sure my order was correct, and without that oversight, it would’ve been wrong. He told the cook things like “she doesn’t want 2 of that kind she wants 1” etc to ensure my order was correct. The staff was friendly, prices are good, parking was easy, but they need a cook that can keep up the pace.

Came by and had a cauliflower salad bowl. Admittedly I had a salad at a taco joint. The top of the salad was crisp but below was brown lettuce. I brought this to the staff and they just said that’s how it comes. This tells me they don’t maintain their inventory. Eat here with caution. I will not be again.Vegetarian options: Brown lettuce.

I've never ate here but as a driver this place is always on point as an example today another driver picked up the order and I guess later unassigned so when I got to the store I showed them the order and they offered to remake it. Bad on the previous driver but this store didn't even hesitate to offer to remake and usually this is a chore at other locations. I'll gladly pick up here for any customer.

save your money and go anywhere else. I wanted to give a try since it’s nearby but the pork was bone dry, shrimp was miniature and mostly just fried breading. I had to smother them in salsa to get them down, very small tacos too. Homi is much better.

Rusty Taco has a decent take on the almighty taco. No ‘standard’ Mexican tacos here. RT adds a little twist to make some pretty good tacos albeit on the pricier side. The place was clean except for their storage areas which are in plain view and the location is somewhat awkward and easy to miss but once you find it I think you’ll be pleasantly pleased. Enjoy!

The cashier that took my order was incredibly friendly, patient, and had great attention to detail. They were short staffed (as everywhere is) but the team kept their spirits up through the stress. I would recommend this restaurant just for the kind staff, but the delicious tacos are also worth going for!

I've ordered takeout from here 3 times now. Every time, my order has been ready even earlier than promised. Always tastes delicious and fresh. I am also always impressed by the prices considering the high quality of their food. $25 for two people is cheaper than Chipotle these days, and way tastier.

Literally disgusting — the tacos look like dog food and the employees sit around doing nothing. The place is dirty and I honestly think they'll be shut down by the health department in a couple of months. I would highly advise against eating here. Glad DoorDash gave me my money back + $5 in extra credits. Also, the responses to all of the reviews here saying "have a blessed day" are bizarre. How is this place still open?

So gross. I think the health department should seriously visit this establishment. It is not clean. The staff are very rude. Tacos are very easy to make and hard to mess up, but Rusty’s managed to make the food gross and take about an hour for some tacos.
