We walked in last night at 8 pm and we were greeted with big smile and that sat us with in 5 minutes. Food was wonderful and staff amazingly accommodating! Loved it!

This is in contention with the fanciest place that I've ever had dinner. I had the steak and mashed potatoes, both of which were the best that I've ever had. I added a succulent bone marrow butter that I still think about from time to time. The service is top notch as you would expect. If you are driving you have to valet park. Be prepared for that. Also, plan to spend money. It was the most expensive ticket that I've ever had.

Service at the bar was quite slow. Understaffed, resulting in the staff being a bit edgy. The steak was outstanding and made up for the service.

We celebrated a big anniversary at The Chop House and it did not disappoint! The food was a WOW from beginning salad to dessert. We had never dined here, but we are committed to return again soon!!

Fantastic

The service in food was exceptional at 8:01 as usual. It is the reason we come back year after year for our special occasions. It was truffle season and so we got the truffles on the steak. They also had the A5 Wagyu and so of course we had to try that it was absolutely amazing.

Have previously come here and it was great. Not so lucky last night. Was greeted in a gruff way about what was the special occasion? I expressed no special occasion, just trying to use a Christmas gift of a gift card. Was seated in a booth in the bar area, which is fine but not nice, next to, very close to a large table of many guests. It felt like this was a result of failing to answer with a special occasion? Meatball appetizer, fine, but not very good. Tried to ask about getting steak cooked well done, waitress advised only if ordering the smallest steak, having it butterfly cut. Last time, it was not an issue, however if the waitress is going to require to give those directions, then no chance. Ordered the chicken, it has no seasoning, could not have tasted more like nothing than it did. The potatoes served with chicken has no seasoning, there is some broth in the bowl, not a sauce or gravy but a broth. The 8 greenbeans were decent, the bulk of dinner. An assistant manager in suitcoat came to take the food away, our waitress neither served nor took away the food, and the assistant mgr type person chose to ignore that it was not eaten, no inquiry, no comment, no concern, just take away the entire entree and pretend this is a reasonable situation. Came here months ago, it was very good, had a better waiter, better table, really good food and would recommend based on that trip, but with care, because it is certainly not consistently set up to work.

The food, cocktails and service were all excellent. We had filet mignon and king crab legs for our entrees, and we also had carrot cake and chocolate layer cake for dessert. Everything was amazing.

Had dinner here as a guest of a family member. Noticed the complete lack of any dress code. Always a giveaway. Provided menu without pricing. Very gallant and generous of my host & hostess.Ordered small filet au poivre. When it arrived, it lacked the pepper. Maybe the cook forgot. The meat seemed stringy and not easily cut. Served with was called a butter/garlic sauce. Not appropriate at all. Just melted butter with a few pieces of chopped garlic. Easy and cheap to prepare. Not like a sauce bearnaise. Later I determined the price of my meal. It was exhorbitant and certainly not worth the investment in money, time and experience. All in all, a nothing atmosphere with mediocre food, adequate service, stratospheric pricing and a pretentious menu.I can only recommend this restaurant to wannabees. As it's only perceived value is as a place to be seen overspending for food.

A must try restaurant My husband and I absolutely love 801 Chophouse! The food and service are amazing, and ever time we visit which is at least once a month, the level of food, service, and quality are always outstanding. We have booked 801 Chophouse for our wedding reception!

My experience was absolutely amazing and a waitress by the name Julia was outstanding. It was our first time in and she highly recommended certain menu items that was very delectable. The steak was cooked to perfection. I wouldn't change a thing about the choices I made.

It was my first trip and I was excited to go. The food was good but nothing spectacular and the service was off putting. Couldn't figure out why but our server must've been having a bad day.

Great service... server was super knowledgeable and helpful. prime Rib was excellent. Chicken and Alaskan king crab were incredible. Filets were a little more on the dry side. Salads great too.. mashed potatoes were nothing special. Chocolate soufflé was an 8 out of 10 Overall great meal. Probably over priced by about 20% compared to similar establishments. Will be back

BEST Ribeye I've ever had. Especially with the garlic butter sauce. I will be coming back with guests. I've tried every steakhouse in Missouri. This one is #1 in my books.

If you want a great meal and don't mind the above average prices, I highly recommend 801 Chophouse. Steaks were seasoned just right, salads and sides were good portions, and the drinks were a good pour! The dessert menu seems to have something for all tastes.
