I stopped in here for brunch with my girlfriends Saturday morning and what a cute spot! I'd definitely recommend joining the waitlist at least 30 minutes prior as it was VERY busy; we did so luckily we only waited maybe five minutes before our table was ready. There was also plenty of parking out front of the street and additional parking on those side streets throughout Clayton. Between our table we had the fruit salad, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, the BLT and various lattes and everything was so good. Shoutout to our waitress, also, she was such a gem and very attentive. This is a great brunch spot and I'll definitely be back!

Our first time visiting today. It was sooo delicious omg. The breakfast tacos were , those donuts delicious, my neice had the breakfast fried rice and it was very good. We joined the waitlist it's was a 45 mins wait. Service was great and ambiance was laid-back and chill. They also have an outside sitting area where u can eat. I can't wait to go back

Burnt end turkey was smoked well with great vegetable and potato hash. The blackberry cheesecake stuffed French toast wasn’t stuffed but the toppings layered on top. The bread was warmed but so thick it didn’t resemble cooked french toast that had any crisp to it. There was too much sauce that made the dish into a soggy sweet bread. Great service and patio but the inside gets loud.

When we arrived on a Saturday afternoon the line was basically out the door (the restaurant is pretty small) and the wait for 2 was 40 minutes. I was hungry and not in the mood to wait, but my mom was insistent and I’m so glad I was patient! Everything we ordered was sooo good and visually pleasing. The seating was kinda uncomfortable and I prefer dining experiences that don’t feel overwhelming/crowded..but the food was worth it!

Absolutely dreadful experience. I’ve been here once before and honestly the food was great. However, that was a while ago and while I went today, I wouldn’t be able to tell you whether or not the food was good because we were not served. When we first walked in there were a few tables occupied, but it was no where near as busy as it usually is. We were greeted with a “table for 2?” and then the server just walked off. We didn’t know whether or not we were supposed to follow her, but ended up doing so and she gave us our menus.Afterwards, she walked off and we were not met with service for almost 30 minutes. In the meantime, our server was making rounds, seating and even serving people who came well after us.Our server would look at our table, but not approach us as if she was intentionally ignoring us.Unfortunately, this treatment rubbed us the wrong way, and we finally left after being neglected for a bit longer. There are plenty of fantastic restaurants nearby within walking distance, with both spectacular food and service so the experience was nothing but a 30 minute waste of time.

If you like being ignored for 30 minutes then this is the restaurant for you! After waiting for almost 30 minutes to have our orders taken (and seeing tables who came in after us being served) we gave up and left. Waitress was rude and dismissive. This place doesn't deserve your business until they learn how to treat customers with respect. There's lots of places nearby that won't waste your time. After giving up we went to City Coffee and Creperie which is less than 5 minutes there. We were served quickly and with top notch service. Will never return. Worst service I've ever received.

Joined friends for lunch and we were seated on the patio. It was a beautiful day and perfect patio weather. The only things to mar the outdoor experience was the super wobbly table and the patio space felt like it could use a good cleaning. When venturing inside, I felt the same vibe, a little tired spave, drab. Service was ok, kind of like the space, tired, just going through the motions. I don't think I saw her smile the whole time. I didn't catch her name as arrived a little late due to an accident on Ladue. I ordered the veggie hash. Brussels sprouts, spinach, onion, potatoes, topped with two over easy eggs. It was good overall. The potatoes were the best part, great flavor, tender and not dried out. It came with a biscuit, scratch made for sure. Oblong in shape with lots of butter. It was ok for the price. Overall, I think Half & Half needs to get back in the game. There are many more breakfast places to choose from now than when they first opened.

Great ambienceWhatI got the avocado toast, blueberry pancakes and a latte. The avocado toast was decent. No complains. Yes it is a little plain but if avoiding dairy and eggs this is it. Blueberry pancakes were okay for me - a bit eggy. The latte was great! They had non-dairy alternativesEnvironmentReally nice seating outside. Located near the streets, parking may be a little difficult.Niceness of the staffSuper nice staff. Sat outside and the waiter was always available and accessible.DollarIt was regularly pricedYesI would return here to chill and have a latteVegetarian options: Vegan options is more challenging

Our first time here and we loved it. We came in on a Friday morning about 9am and were seating right away. The latte with almond milk was great. We ordered steak and eggs (the steak was cooked perfectly) and eggs Benedict which was wonderful!! 10/10 recommend!

This restaurant has been featured in travel and leisure as one of the best breakfast spot in the US. We went there for breakfast on a Saturday after reading about it. Before I start, the wait time as per yelp is around 70 minutes which made to think should I go ? I called the restaurant and I've been told most people tend to get on the waitlist even before they arrive and chances are better to get a table earlier and the person was kind enough to get me on the waiting list. In the end, it took me roughly 35 minutes to get a table vs what yelp said. So don't decide based on waitlist. I'm glad I called the restaurant. We ordered stake and eggs, cappuccino, hot chocolate and kids menu egg, bacon and toast. Stake and eggs : comes with stage , eggs, grilled Brussels sprouts , biscuit , butter and strawberry jam. Stake is juicy and perfectly cooked. I fell in love with the biscuit. One of the best I ever had in my life so that I got some to gos. Very rich and buttery. Kids plate: No complaint from my kid. He likes everything. I like the ambience. Nothing fancy. Simple and elegant. Tip: 1. Free parking is available on roadside or paid parking in garage across the street. 2. Get on the waitlist before you get ready. 3. If you are like me who likes coffee after breakfast. Better order after. I did the mistake of killing the time by ordering coffee .

The food was delicious, but the service was very slow and they did not communicate well. We did go during a very busy time and I'm sure it isn't always like that. The diner felt very homey and the staff were always courteous. I would recommend eating here!

Small space, with great food, and friendly staff. They are always slammed. So, be patient. Highly recommend the chai latte and the pancakes cooked in bacon fat.
