Exquisite cuisine, exceptional wine selection and craft cocktails. Great happy hour. Best oysters in Columbia! An intimate dining atmosphere experience that is local family owned, with professional, knowledgable, and friendly staff.

Amazing front of house, bizarre and frankly repulsive food. The staff were so friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The bartender was exceptionalThe food was cooked with great technique, But was really bad - I had the fish, which was SWEET. Powerfully sweet, like eating fish ice cream with lentils.TBF, the appetizer was delicious, so maybe the kitchen was just having an off night, but my goodness., $140 for inedible meal.Dietary restrictions: Great with dietary restrictions 5/5

We went this evening for Valentine’s dinner and everything was fantastic - the food and the staff. I ordered the Beef Fillet Oscar (from the Valentine’s Day menu) and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in ages. We also got the gougères and they were SO good - cheesy and herby and fluffy. I really liked the atmosphere too - I was worried I would feel a little out of place but despite the fanciness of the food, it felt really welcoming! I’d definitely recommend it - it’s worth the price! (:

Nice place and atmosphere, very friendly service. The food could be improved…I had the lobster risotto and was tasteless with overcooked rice, looked like was frozen before and warmed up.

Everything is just right here. The food and service is great. Ambiance is great, the focal lights on the tables are perfect for being able to read menus and enjoy your company.

Unbeatable flavors and quality. The menu is made of locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and rotates, so you can keep coming back and never get bored. I split a few appetizers and was still quite satisfied with my maitake mushroom tempura, French bread, and cheese puffs. Even the coffee my dining partner took to-go was above average. This is my anniversary and birthday goal. The best in town. I didn't need reservations, but recommend them for busy times like Valentine's Day or big MU weekends.Kid-friendliness: Not the most kid friendly. It's upscale, jazzy, quiet, with lit candles, and complex dishes. Get a sitter and have an unforgettable date night.Wheelchair accessibility: The street entrance opens to a ramp so no stairs to get in and out.

This place easily became one of my new favorite spots in Columbia. The food is so unique but also so delicious. I was just planning on drinking a glass of wine after a long day and then going to grab something to eat afterwards, but the service was so welcoming and I was having a good time chatting with the employees that I never ended up leaving. I would recommend going with more than one person because everything is more than shareable. I got the Mokum carrots because I wanted to try something I had never had before and they were FABULOUS! But they were so filling with the bread so I didn't even end up ordering an entree. I did end up ordering a desert though, because Sam, the host, insisted that I needed it and he was NOT WRONG. I would come back here just for that cake alone. For attire/ vibe: I wore jeans and a sweater and did not feel under or over dressed. I would not wear sweat pants, but to each their own! Overall, I will 100% be recommending to everyone and coming back.

Cherry Street Cellar offers beautiful desserts. Pictured are 2 versions of their Opera Cake. This is an incredibly delicious dessert made of almond flour and 100% gluten-free. Also pictured is a gluten-free Blood Orange dessert with coconut and dark chocolate. It's like a sorbet, nice and tart but seasonal. I'm hoping it returns next summer during blood orange season. They also have fabulous craft cocktails and gourmet food that is second to none. I love the ambiance, and the service is the best around.

Appetizer cheese pastries were burned on Bottom very dry, lobster Risotto was not thoroughly cooked hard pieces of risotto in it, and not seasoned well, needed spices or garlic salt and pepper did not help much. Disappointed as usually everything is excellent.

Exceptionally good food and experience- we dined with a group in their private room, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Drinks, appetizers, entrees, wine, service, and dessert were all great. We had the scallion pancakes, croquettes, tempura mushrooms, roasted carrots, and oysters to start, and they were all delicious. The oysters are the best, freshest, and cleanest you can get in Columbia. I had the steak frites, and it was cooked perfectly, with a lovely rich butter sauce, and perfect French fries (you can't beat steak and fries). My husband had the lobster risotto and it was delicious. Others in our group enjoyed the burger and the Artic char. Everything we ate was excellent, no one had a single complaint! Service was great, and we enjoyed the leisurely pace of the meal.

Not quite the same as it used to be. The servers were polite but we waited an hour for our food. We finally had to ask about it, and after that we were finally served. When we got our orders mine (the arctic char) was fairly cold and I think it might have been quite good when it was hot. We had a reservation for the dining room but were seated by the bar, which might have been why we fell through the cracks. Again, the staff was extremely courteous and comped our wine because of the delay, but I’m afraid I don’t recommend this restaurant.

Cherry Street Cellar is a family owned french American fusion restaurant featuring seasonal menus utilizing locally sourced products, serving craft cocktails and amazing desserts! You can't beat the location as it's in the heart of downtown Columbia, and is only a 3 minute walk from the historic Tiger Hotel. Cherry Street Cellar is the perfect place for a special occasions as the staff makes sure to make your night a fabulous intimate dining experience. The cellar was a little drafty and the my table was quite close to the couple seated adjacent, but well lit and quiet enough to hold a conversation. The server was very pleasant and helpful, she was very welcoming and genuine. The wine and food were terrific. Thank you for an enjoyable experience.
