“Ok live in the St Charles area. We were in the Ellisville area for a Dr. appt. Decided to stop and get some asian food and found Asian House. Oh my gosh, this is some of the most flavorful Chinese food I've ever had. Will be making the long drive alot. 10 thumbs ?“
“People are ridiculous to keep giving bad reviews for what I can only assume is complete BS. I've been to dozens of PE across the country and the quality of the food is extremely consistent so anyone who writes a bad review that THIS particular PE "doesn't cook things right" is full of it. Secondly, the fried rice is not "horrible", "undercooked" or "inconsistent" it's cooked exactly the way it is across every PE I've ever been to. If you don't like fried rice in general then don't order the fried rice and then complain about it! Thirdly, the people who complained about the portion size being too small for the containers, did you stop to think about what SIZE portion you ordered?! If PE only carries large size containers for food and you order the small, you shouldn't expect to have it filled up for crying out loud, you ordered a SMALL! I ordered the bowl size King Pao and it was in a styrofoam container but 1/2 full, I realized quickly that I usually order 2 food options but not this time, so that's why it was only half full. Next - I've never had to wait more than 3-5 min for my food orders and that's pretty much at any PE across the country. If you're in the drive thru it's not their fault if there's 10 cars in line. I guarantee you'd wait longer at Cult-Fil-A. Lastly, I've always had very good service and many of the younger workers are incredibly friendly and much more personal than any other fast food place I've been to. As for Chinese food quality, as one review remarked 'it's not authentic Chinese food but it's not meant to be' is exactly right. It's Chinese fast food. If You want super high quality Chinese food then go to a sit down restaurant with a full menu. Some of you reviewers act like you ate at a high end Chinese restaurant in SF or NYC and expect the same food quality. It is what it is and this site does a great job. Why don't some of you reviewers drive a mile east and review the McDonalds there on the corner, maybe you can complain they didnt give you cloth napkins to wipe the BBQ sauce off your lips from the Le chicken nuggets.“
“This is another hidden gem in the metro tucked away near the Spirit of St. Louis airport. Very authentic cuisine! If you do live in West County and St. Charles County, give this place a try.The dumplings are succulent and juicy with a mild five spice flavor. Ramen broth is light and easy to eat without being too overpowering. I had a cold the day that I went and I can say that this ramen was great medicine for my sore throat. Crab Rangoon is a tad on the sweet side, but the Pork Egg Rolls are fantastic.Atmosphere was very calm with light jazz music and perfect for those who are sensitive to noise and can get overstimulated easily.Definitely come here for a delicious meal if you're passing through I-64/40!“
“So the sausage fried rice was delicious. The lychee green tea was amazing. The soup toppings and innards were fantastic. The broth made me sad. It needed more oomph so to speak. I had hoped it would give more but it didn't. The delicious insides made up for it though.“
“Okay, so let me spill the beans about my secret comfort spot - Tony's K Food. Tucked away inside a Korean grocery, it's like stumbling upon a hidden foodie haven. Perfect for those "I-can't-be-bothered-to-cook" days, you know? The menu might be small, but every bite packs a punch of legit Korean flavors. My personal hero? The beef bulgogi - seriously, it's a portion that feels like a warm hug for your taste buds. And then there's the tteokbokki - it's got this spicy kick that's like a flavor rollercoaster. Trust me, it's spicy but oh-so-worth it.What I love most? It's takeout heaven. I get to bring all that goodness home without lifting a finger in the kitchen. Tony's K Food turns my lazy days into a Korean feast adventure, proving that you don't need a fancy setting for seriously good eats.“
“We arrived early on Sunday morning to try a new Pho restaurant. They prepare each bowl fresh upon ordering, which makes the process a bit slower, but I appreciate the attention to detail. The Pho was not only delicious but also offered a satisfying balance of quality and quantity. In addition to that, we ordered a boba smoothie; the owner customized it perfectly to my preference for less sugar, and it was delicious. We will definitely return and recommend this place to our friends.“
“I'm giving five stars because I'm SO excited to see authentic Chinese dishes on a take out style Chinese place menu. I have yet to try the authentic ones but the food I did get was pretty decent. Not the best or the worst I've had. Just soild take out Chinese. The price is really what sways me here. It's so affordable compared to other Chinese places. AND they offer free add ons if you spend a certain amount. I got a whole pack of 4 delicious crispy Wantons for spending 20 dollars or more. Are you kidding me?! That is amazing. I'm just sad I can't order delivery from here all the time because it's too far from my house.“
“Convenient location. I often order take out when doing grocery shopping. Food generally tastes good and they have fast service. Can be crowded over weekend, esp if yoh want to sit down. Once I found a piece of rubber band in the dish, probably left from vegetable, when they were super busy.“
“Best Chinese food! My husband and I recently moved away but we still drive 25 min out of way for this restaurant. I’ve been going here since I was a teenager and I’m 30 now. Food is always delicious and the women who takes orders/helps the customers who first walk in is always really nice and pleasant to deal with!“
“Recently dined here for the first time and had a pleasant experience thanks to all the help from the bartender Kylee! She had such a friendly & welcoming energy and gave the greatest guidance with suggestions to help with our order. She provided the best customer service and we will be back thanks to her!“
“Great food! I mean great, I had the fried dumplings and the egg drop soup (I get that from everywhere) and I have to say they had to have had the dumplings in my top 3 best I’ve ever had and the egg drop soup in the top 5, highly recommend that combo-great comfort meal. The staff were great, it was a very friendly welcoming environment. Will be back again!!!!“
“After 5 years of moving to Saint Peters we finally found our go-to Chinese takeout restaurant. New owners are friendly, provides excellent service, and serves fantastic food. Lo Mein, Mongolian Pork, fried rice, beef and broccoli, egg drop soup and wontons are just a few things we typically order and have been extremely happy with the food and the service. Thank you!!“
“Every order has tasted great (and accurate) and we keep going back for more as one of our favorite carry outs. There are two Chinese places a little closer to us but this is worth the few extra minutes to get there for good food and reasonable prices.“
“Best chhinese food in Eureka. Me and my wife had an excellent time, the General Tso's was excellent, and the crab rangoons weren't overly sweet! Been here many times. My wife always loves her sweet and sour! Thank you for all of your hard work!“
“Okay, I thought I’d never get the Chinese food I used to get back in N.Y. But I found it! Keep up the good work First Wok, and importantly don’t change your recipes! Also, very clean restaurant and calm atmosphere, staff was obviously just as impressive!“
“Marty is sincere and kind. Food is fire. Price can't be beat. I had the chicken, fried. Like a chicken Katsu. Well cooked and flavored on a bed of cut cabbage. Not intensely flavor which suits my gentle pallet. Could use some salt but I can't complain because I eat too much salt. I go in for some salt/ketchup and he says "this ain't Arby's" ? and follows up with a fire joke about Michael caine.. mycocaine. And the lemon sauce with it is 10/10 - hat tip to the chef. Don't skip on this spot. A Chesterfield classic.“
“Idk what they put in this general tso's chicken, but it's literally the best I've ever had. And the crab rangoon? I could eat 100 of these. Using grubhub to deliver can be a bit hit or miss when it comes to timing, but it's well worth it for the price.“
“Two sesame chicken lunch specials (comes with fried rice, crab rangoon) came out to 19 bucks after tax. Large portions that are likely enough for 1.5 meals. Highly recommend this place for lunch. They are quick and efficient and the food is tasty.“
“I don't know what some of the people reviewing expected, but as far as this area goes, this is the best chinese food I have been able to find. Crab rangoon and lo mein are top tier. Szechuan Beef and General Tso's are really good as well. Skewers and spring rolls were meh but other than that I really like the quality of food.“
“It's hard to find good Chinese food these days. Seems like they all use the same ingredients but not this place. Really high quality takeout at affordable prices. Not a place you stay and eat due to the lack of atmosphere. Take it home and “
“Me and my family go to Dynasty buffet a lot and never have had any issues there. Food is always fresh and delicious. The people are very attentive and caring towards the costumers. Plus they are very good price compared to a lot of Chinese restaurants Ive been to.“
“This place was great! I got a Mongolian Beef lunch and special. It came with fried rice, soup, and a crab rangoon as well as a vegetable egg roll. The owner is a super nice person and very flexible with any substitutions. Really enjoyed the overall experience and I don't normally write reviews.“
“My Chinese restaurant that I usually go to is on vacation. Wanted some chinese food looked at reviews. This place is good. Hot and sour soup is very good, great flavor.. Mongolian beef is good just be ware it is spicy. But a good spicy. Love the the online ordering and they are very pleasant. Lastly the place is clean, probably the cleaniest take out chinese place I have ever been to . Will be back!“
“Always good food and good prices, when they are open...Hours vary and not always accurate. I've found they are randomly closed on some days. Dine in is not an option anymore, even 4 years post covid (their dining room is still closed).“
“I usually give starts to quality of food and service. For this restaurant it is definitely 5! We tried its garlic, orange and cashew chicken. All were super delicious. Since it was our first visit, we didn’t know how the restaurant looked like. I think it is better if you order ahead of time and pick up your food. The restaurant is small and probably some might not find it comfortable to dine in. The staff were nice. They kindly told us about the delay in preparing our order. We were 5 with a toddler and 3 dishes were more than enough.Dietary restrictions: They serve halal chicken“
“I'm always trying to find a good Asian restaurant and of course I find this place right before I move out of state! I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and was very impressed with the flavor. The lunch meal came with a side so I ordered the egg roll and it was one of the best I've had. Awesome Chinese food spot!“
“My family's favorite buffet to this day. Where to begin...Seafood! *Inexpensive* seafood. :)Crawfish (yum). Typically cooked decently with just the right amount of kick. They also have crab, maybe some kind of a mud crab... a smaller more inexpensive crab. Its work to get the meat out but its delicious. They also have calamari which is sometimes a little tough on the buffet tables, but you can also get calamari cooked on the Hibachi grill... on the Hibachi it is typically cooked nicely. They also have mussels on the half shell, served cold. And sometimes they rotate in smaller mussells that are steamed with vegetables. They only have these available occasionally, and they are delicious. The Hibachi grill is awesome. Its a nice bonus and will please even the pickiest of restaurant goers in your family.Large selection of buffet food beyond seafood. Many types of chicken. Gen Tso, black pepper, etc. Various vegetables/greens. Potatoes. The sushi is typically pretty good... sometimes it looks like the wasabi isn't fresh, perhaps leftover from the night before. Head's up there. But the sushi typically is pretty good with a nice selection.Cleanliness. Remember this is a buffet, so they get pretty busy. Fair considering. Clean enough, in my opinion. The bathroom is another story (you've been warned :/ ).Service is hit-and-miss. Either the server is buzzing by filling your drink right away and taking plates or your glass is been sitting empty for who knows how long and you have to flag someone down to take your empty plates. And FYI, your server may or may not be able to speak English. Lately, the removal of plates and refilling of drink glasses has been lacking. The person at the register will typically smile when he is seating you and smile when you are checking out at the front. Not the friendliest per se, but not the unfriendliest either. If you go too early, the food may not be very fresh. If you go too late or too close to closing time, either they may run out of some foods (i.e., crawfish OR they will not replenish certain foods).Bottom line- cheap food considering you get plate after plate after plate. For $18 (it's cheaper Monday through Thursday), you can eat as much as you want and that includes seafood. Just don't expect stellar service.“
“We always get our food to go so I can't say much about the atmosphere. The food is exactly what you want when you think of getting Chinese takeout. The Crab Rangoon is better than anywhere else we've tried. We love it and won't go anywhere else!“
“We have been looking for 4 years for a neighborhood Chinese restaurant and have tried so many. We got the General Tso's chicken and Mongolian Beef. The General's chicken was very, very good. Fresh - not reused already fried chicken - and very tasty. Mongolian Beef was okay, we won't order again. The steamed white rice was amazing! We will be ordering different dishes and are hoping we have found our neighborhood place.“
“Read an earlier review where someone didn’t like the changes under new management. Each to their own; personally, I love the changes in atmosphere and food. My husband and I enjoyed our food and interacting with everyone. Very friendly and “
“If you haven't been here in a while, try it again: we loved this food - classic dishes are leveled up and we love that many of the dishes included a good mix of veggies with the meat (their General Tso's is a great example). Sometimes there's a wait due to the sheer volume of orders, but it's worth it. We've tried a lot of places in the area and this is the best. Also, the service is outstanding - Diana and her team are great!“
