“That's some delicious fried chicken. Well breaded and fried with a nice base level of spiciness. I got a recommendation to check it out, so I was a little surprised they didn't have different levels of spiciness, but it was very tasty, so it worked for me.Standard sides are beans and slaw, which were both good. The fried okra was a step up and fresh with a good batter. We were a walk-in party of 8, which they were easily able to accommodate, but the food took a little longer than we anticipated. Well worth the wait.“
“Peno is one of my favorite restaurants in STL!The service is excellent!! They go above and beyond to make you feel completely welcome and answered my millions of questions about what to order.. they also gave great recommendations (I am indecisive and always ask the expert)!Their food is incredible! You can taste the freshness and that each dish is carefully prepared and crafted with love!My favorite menu staples:- Octopus - this is amazing! Perfect balance of flavors and textures!- Giant Meatballs - whether you order this as an app or get the spaghetti & meatballs, these balls are not to be missed- Gnocchi - do yourself a favor and order this.. they're so good! Between the pillowy soft gnocchi to the house tomato basil sauce, this is a MUST!- Pizza - any of them! I love all the flavors of the Guiseppe but they're all to die for!Peno is great. “Today I found myself at a nice little Cajun place in Webster Groves. I originally set out from my house, not knowing where I wanted to eat dinner or even if I wanted dinner. My wandering took me to Webster, where I stumbled into this place and thought I wanted some fried catfish. That is exactly what I got. The place was lively when I walked in, with a live band playing and TVs all over the place showing college basketball. The place felt like walking into a bar/restaurant down in Morgan City, LA. I found a high-top seat, and a lovely waitress came over, took my order for fried catfish, coleslaw, fries and an appetizer of fried ravioli but these were stuffed with crab meat. Only thing I forgot to ask for was cornbread. Anyway, the catfish was fried well, the coleslaw tasty, the waffle fries cooked to perfection, and the ravioli took a prize for the best thing I ate while I was there. Overall, I enjoyed myself and went home full and happy. Would love to go again, especially to their brunch, which looks downright delectable.“
“One of my absolute favorite places to go eat and shop at the same time. You’ll never go wrong going to Cracker Barrel and you’ll never go wrong shopping at Cracker Barrel too.Kid-friendliness: My kids absolutely love going to Cracker Barrel for lunch or dinner. They’re favorite part is going to get a new toy at the store.“
