“We had the pleasure of attending a wedding reception at The Dogwood. Completely unassuming from the outside, this space is sure to wow even the most hard to please guest. The main level boasts a spacious dining room with a beautiful bar. It was cozy without feeling overwhelming. The decor was absolutely gorgeous everything has a modern aesthetic. There is a grand staircase leading to the second level. This space is an indoor/outdoor set up. Guests could filter in and out. There were three fire pits and ample seating on the patio. Perfect for a chilly evening. The bar on the second level was a little smaller, but highly functional. The team were so hospitable and friendly. The bartenders made quick work of keeping drinks full and the party going. The food was absolutely delicious! Cocktail hour consisted of a variety of appetizers including toasted ravioli, mini egg rolls, wontons, and chicken bites. Just what you need in your belly while consuming alcohol. Our meal will rate very high on my list of favorite wedding reception meals. The quality of the ingredients was reflected in the execution of each dish. Everything was perfectly done. This was a fantastic experience! Hoping I have more friends getting married soon so we can go back!“
“SUPPORT BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES!!!Feel in love w/ Lisa’s cooking; she for sure knows what she is doing in the kitchen. The catfish was cooked to perfection. The spaghetti & potato salad was amazing. Tried the apple holly pocket and it was delicious so I am definitely trying the peach one next. I ordered two days in a row and had my family place a big order. They loved the food as well. Nice place for a grab and go; family is very nice. I will continue to support and eat at this establishment.“
“Really cool but you just sort of walk in and stand there. There is no hostess and it's super busy on game day so If it's your first time be prepared. It would also help if "Google Maps* Took you directly to the parking lot which is free.Parking: Great free parking just across the street in a well lit good part of town. The ?️ is hard to find you might have to circle the blood to find it.Kid-friendliness: It's a restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Using the bathroom might be a pain. I don't know I'm not handicapped.“
“Went for first time after going to the zoo! Food was really good. Chicken sandwich with the comeback sauce is great! Plus you get to try all the sauces, we liked the ranch, comeback sauce, and hot honey. My husband and daughter liked the chicken strip! I would recommend! Also their pickles have the best crunch!!“
“Today my friend and I ate at Grace Meat & Three after visiting the Botanical Gardens. It was our first time going there. I got the meal deal which was chicken tenders, fries, and a drink. The chicken was delicious and so were the fries. I enjoyed all the dipping sauces they have to choose from. We will definitely be back.“
“We were looking for something different and found it at Down Home Elegance. They do mostly carry out, but they did let us and some others eat in. The food was very good. The turkey ribs were smoked, and they were ? ? ? ?, yes, I said turkey ribs. Go ask em were the rib comes from, and they'll tell you. The wing was baked, but it was good. The Yams were cooked perfectly. I would have liked a little more flavor in my greens, but they are not using any pork in them, for you all that don't eat pork. The cornbread dressing was just that, nothing super special. The food is good and satisfying, and I would recommend them as a go-to because we will go again. Also, I had a piece of Carrot Cake, of course, I ate it no picture. Give them a try if you ate ever in North St. Louis off I270, just before crossing back into Illinois. Very nice people, which is as important as the food.“
“The food is delicious let's start there 9/10! Chicken and fish are fried to just right. The sides are pretty good as well, love the fried green tomatoes and mashed potatoes. All their sauces seem to be made in house and are very tasty. But what I don't like is tipping and all they do is bring out your food. You have to buss your own table when you're done and that's not cool but meh. But the people are still very nice and accommodating.“
“Peno is one of my favorite restaurants in STL!The service is excellent!! They go above and beyond to make you feel completely welcome and answered my millions of questions about what to order.. they also gave great recommendations (I am indecisive and always ask the expert)!Their food is incredible! You can taste the freshness and that each dish is carefully prepared and crafted with love!My favorite menu staples:- Octopus - this is amazing! Perfect balance of flavors and textures!- Giant Meatballs - whether you order this as an app or get the spaghetti & meatballs, these balls are not to be missed- Gnocchi - do yourself a favor and order this.. they're so good! Between the pillowy soft gnocchi to the house tomato basil sauce, this is a MUST!- Pizza - any of them! I love all the flavors of the Guiseppe but they're all to die for!Peno is great. Stop reading reviews and just go already.“
