“Just went to Chuck's on South Kingshighway (old Courtesy Diner) near Tower Grove Park. So glad they are there. What great food and service. Had 3pc tenders (Level 3) and Chicken Sandwich (Level 2). Both were great; good flavor, crunchy breading, and juicy. I prefer my chicken on the spicier side, so I'd go with Level 3 from now on. Pickles added great flavor and crunch. They have other higher levels of heat, as well as a Zero Level for those that just want great fried chicken. Also had the seasoned fries, which were hot and crispy; green beans (very good and typical southern style with bacon and onions); and slaw which we also really enjoyed. Finally the service was fast and very customer friendly. I recommend giving it a try and I'll definitely be back.“
“That's some delicious fried chicken. Well breaded and fried with a nice base level of spiciness. I got a recommendation to check it out, so I was a little surprised they didn't have different levels of spiciness, but it was very tasty, so it worked for me.Standard sides are beans and slaw, which were both good. The fried okra was a step up and fresh with a good batter. We were a walk-in party of 8, which they were easily able to accommodate, but the food took a little longer than we anticipated. Well worth the wait.“
“Absolutely one of the best restaurants in St. Louis. They are known for the golden fried chicken. The breading is very good. Very juicy perfectly cooked chicken. They have the BEST fried mushrooms I’ve had. The wings are AMAZING. It gets better. The SAUCES are delicious ?. All are homemade from scratch. The owner Charlene is so sweet and kind. The customer service here is excellent. This is a MUST STOP place to eat! The sides are so good you will be back for more!“
“For my first time here, I really liked it! It’s a decent chicken joint with several different levels of spice for said chicken. I got 5 tenders on the level 1, because it was my first time and I didn’t wanna go too high on the levels and end up not enjoying it. If you’re a first-timer like I was, I’d recommend either level 1 or 2. One of my friends had level 2 and I was able to handle that alongside level 1. The chicken itself was super tasty, and what I liked about it the most was there was a lot of meat and not a lot of breading; you find lots of places nowadays that have more breading than meat, but this wasn’t an issue at this place. 10/10, I’ll be sure to stop by again if I’m in St. LouisParking: Huge parking lot in front of the store that is free to park in“
“This is my favorite restaurant in stl. The fried chicken is so good and they have the best fries very well seasoned. Their burgers are also delicious, I ordered a small burger with fries and it was only $6.53 but the portions are HUGE. If you need something cheap but delicious definitely get the burger. You may even have left overs.“
“This place has remained one of the best southern style fried chicken places for years.Nothing crazy or different. Just some of the best textbook fried chicken you can get in STL.I prefer the spicy breading over the normal one but both are spectacular. 9.1-8.8 clucks respectively.“
“Listen, I totally forgot about this place until I was looking for a shrimp po' boy and I am so upset that I have missed about a year of their food. Stop and get something even if the line happens to be long. It is WORTH THE WAIT! Even my kids like their fish, which is highly unusual.“
“Good basic chicken place. Excellent biscuits. I liked the fried okra. Good Mac and cheese. Strawberry Fanta on tap. Some of the best potato salad I've had at a fast food place. The menu board takes some time to navigate. The place is clean and friendly. Family and senior citizen crowd when we were there. Reasonable prices. Hungry for chicken.... Give it a shot. Not that greasy stuff you've had elsewhere. Order extra biscuits.“
“I was driving down West Florissant and needed to get gas and use the restroom, stopped at 2 gas stations, and neither one had a public restroom available. So I went to Lee's, and theirs was a lifesaver!!!The restroom was clean and smelled fresh!! I made a purchase and the food was hot and delicious!! The cashier stopped his stocking and immediately waited on us. Thank You!!!!“

“Very small place but very busy I ordered chicken strips and shrimp and the shrimp was good but the chicken was alil dry and it was my first time eating there but my food was ready in tens mins like. “I've never gone to Lee's fried chicken and received a bad meal before.I was just out done. The chicken was very dark, and I couldn't tell that the oil needed to be changed . The flour needed changing also. There were clumps of breading on the chicken. And in the box.If I did not live so far away , I would have returned it. We managed to eat it because it was late and it was edible . But not up to Lee's standards. I worked for the company before in a manager position. So I know the standards . That was not it.“
“Just wish they where a little bit faster in service people where getting out of line and driving off. And I also think they should plan better on how much they are going to need to keep from running out of certain items before dinner rush is over, better to have a little bit over then not enough.“
