“I have to say, Uncle Julio's is my FAVORITE GO TO Mexican Restaurant in the St Louis area. no I haven't tried each and every one of them BUT their food, cocktails and great service NEVER DISAPPOINT!! so on a Monday, yes Monday, they ARE OPEN, YES!! slower, yet open ;-) Our server was Robert, who was ON HIS GAME. We recieved our chips and 2 different salsas, and margaritas promptly. I was starving and thirsty, so YES!! we then ordered both a steak and shrimp fajita meal to share. the food was SPOT ON, ROBUST FLAVOR, TENDER BEEF, TASTY SHRIMP!! when the term is used 'fresh-mex', I GET IT!! This was exactly what we craved!! As a matter of fact, I can't stop thinking about how great it was, and plan to return soon!! To take things even to a higher level, the Manager Brent made his rounds a few times, yes it was slower, but he was diligent on knowing we had everything we needed!! A great touch to the meal and ambiance. So in close, for me Uncle Julio's is a WIN, WIN!! Okay, some folks may think they are pricey, however I feel they are cost comparative, and you DO GET what you PAY FOR ;-)“

“Such a clever set up for a restaurant! You can order right from your seat online or you can see the counter inside. The food is fast and delicious, and also consistently good unlike some restaurants. We will definitely be back for dinner and drinks.“

“We arrived to a full house and we were a party of 6. Immediately behind us was a party of 10. We found out there was only 2 servers on staff and were super concerned. I ordered the Enchiladas Mexicana and I'm telling you it was one of the most flavorful dishes I've ever had. And the service? Nothing less than AMAZING!“

“I came in with my family to celebrate my new job and everyone at chevys was extremely friendly. The manager Curtis congratulated me and checked on my table frequently. “TL;DR: Not a typical Mexican restaurant, but absolutely awesome atmosphere if you sit outside.We stopped in after a soccer tournament and enjoyed a relaxed meal with family.I had the Brunch French Toast. It's Brioche soaked in horchata. It's a different take on French toast but good.Several other members of our party enjoyed quesadillas and loved them.“

“I have had almost everything on the menu so far I have not found anything that has not been prepared cooked taste great meets my expectations for a restaurant and one day I will eat everything on the menu at least once highly recommend anybody that likes Mexican food to try this place highly “

“The food was delicious. The service was slack.. very slack. After food was delivered to table, the waiter did not come back to check. I had to ask another employee for to-go containers. I was asking questions about the food and he acted like I was annoying him. But I would recommend for the food.“

“Have eaten here several times and the food from this chain has always been extremely good and low priced. As a litmus test, good Mexican and Chinese food should never be expensive! Try the Fajitas Volcan and the Cheese Quesadilla with beef tips and grilled o ions added! You'll thank me later!?“

“Best Mexican in St. Louis by far and has been for over 25 years. Or should I say best Fresh Mex? Only complaint is I wish they still has as many locations as they used to. Best chips and salsa around too!Tip……. Ask for the spicy salsa as well.“

“Normally I don't go out to eat but I'm glad I did. The food was delicious and the service was great. I don't really like the decor but that's just me because I'm picky. Overall the female host got us to our tables quickly, the male server was polite and helpful, even though they both looked young.“

“since moving down to the area finding good mexican food has been a struggle. the food is either sub-par or the food is pretty good but crazy expensive. this place hits both boxes. The food was very good. The price was just right, about $30 for two adults with no alcohol. the salsa wasn't a standard I'd say american salsa that nasty blan tomato paste they put out at most places. this had tons of flavor as well as tasted very fresh. I will say there hotter salsa which is usually my go to just tasted like Puréd Jalapeño I'd go back to the drawing board for that one. The food on the other had was very good, filling, and as mentioned very well priced. we will be going back during happy hour for some good food and hopefully better margs.“

“Great go to place! We particularly like the tables in the bar area. Best service there. Food is quite good and service has always been with a smile. If all chilis restaurants operated like this one, they would totally win the chain food war.“

“Food was really good. Four of us for lunch. 2 of us got burgers and fries. Really good. 1 person got the baby back ribs with 2 sides. Good but expensive.I person got one of the lunch specials with half a sandwich. My meal with drink was 12.00. A bargain these days.Waitress was a Saint. Lol. Two of us are somewhat particular. She handled wonderfully. All in all a good experience. Only negative was no gluten free options.“

“GET THE FAJITAS!! The food is excellent here! Consistently fresh and hot and good! Best tortilla chips in all of STL. The guac is fire and I'm never disappointed when I'm here. Love the staff, S/O to Juan who takes good care of me and my friends/family every time.“
