“We had a family Christmas dinner for 22 over the holidays at Cafe Verona. The food was excellent, and the service was impeccable. Our incredible server, Andy, was attentive to the needs of the adults, teens, and children at all times! He truly made the special evening a success! Everything was set up early, including items for the children, to keep their attention and maximize the time together as a family. All of the dishes were outstanding, and my personal favorite was the mushroom lover's pasta and the lasagna (for my husband). The appetizers of house made hummus, garlic bread, and calamari were also enjoyed by all! If you have not tried Cafe Verona, give it a whirl. You will not regret the decision. “We had the pleasure of catering our wedding with Yings Thai. We were blown away by Tomas and the absolutely delectable food! Tomas had excellent communication and went over the top to make sure our day was special. He helped us plan the menu and we couldn’t have been happier. The wedding guests all raved about the food throughout the night. The egg rolls and crab Rangoon were the absolute bomb. The Pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, and stir fry stole the show! We loved how our guests could start with a mild version and increase the heat as they saw fit. Tomas was so thoughtful and posted all the possible allergy concerns and made sure peanuts were on the side for those with an allergy. Tomas and Yings Thai made our night special and for that we are incredibly grateful!”

“I was hired last weekend to Face Paint for Alex's Lemonade Stand Charity. I set my Paints and equipment up in the front of the store .the staff and employees I met were so accomodating and friendly. One of the managers helped us put up an awning. an associate gave me clear directions to the bathroom. I was graciously given a free meal voucher by Kristen Rylie and Manager Disha from the Independence Mo. Hyvee. Also the folks at Starbucks were friendly and helpful as well as the cafeteria staff. All this to say I came away thinking I might like to work there because of all the positive and helpful employees who do work there. they work to please! thank You Independence Mo. HyVee”

“I actually did not go to Culvers that much until my son Emmanuel started working there. It was then that I truly realized how much I liked their food. I ordered the deluxe basket with cheese curds more than once, and I have loved it every time. The food is great here at this store. The service is exceptional, and if you get to know the people behind the counter, they are all really nice people. Do not pass up the chance to stop by and get the Culvers experience. You will not regret it.

“Many, many years ago" late 70s" when I first had Mugs Up. Lived in kC, Independence, Lees summit. Mugs up was a couple times a week thing. Moved away in 91, back to Ga. Everytime I go to KC, to see family and friends I also have to visit mugs Up, my favorite as well as the Pizza Fun House.”

“I took an out-of-town friend here who said he really liked "Fun House" pizza. When the fine people at Tim's learned of his preference, they went the Extra Mile and made his pizza almost entirely out of floor sweepings. He said it was even better than what he was used to!”

Iv been told to come here for the food. So I showed up for lunch .

Start off saying, if you hate stairs and have trouble with them like me . Either don't come here because it's in the basement of the building.

I got the plaintiff chicken dinner.
Mash potatoes and green beans.
Chicken has a great honey glaze iv never had anywhere! But...
The chicken was dry as a biscuit.
Mashed potatoes was chunky and great! Green beans was great!
But . All in all was a waste of money and time..

The sweet tea was not ont eh sweet side and that's ok. The soda from the bar was actually ok. Maybe too much ice.

The basement you walk into at first is a bar. But on the side and back was tables. Very low light, reminds me of a old speak easy.

Bathrooms very clean.
Price for two for lunch $42.
Not coming back but cool experience.”

“I have been ordering delivery from Lao Peking for years. Their food is delicious, and I've never had anything that wasn't delicious. Some of my favorites are the egg rolls, chicken on a stick, which taste amazing, and are so tender. Their egg drop soup is the best I've ever had, and they have great steamed dumplings, with delicious dipping sauce, that I could drink on its own. But my absolute favorite is their combination egg foo young. The egg cakes are fried, and done to perfection, with a flavorful, delicate brown sauce, and tender meat, with large shrimp, that are also done to perfection. I've never eaten inside, but I would recommend trying this excellent restaurant, to anyone who loves Chinese food. I order delivery from them, at least twice a month.”

“I always go out of my way for this location, because the quality is always consistent. Friendly staff working at the drive-thru. The food was saucy, tasty, and had perfect aromatics on the steak, the steak was tender as well, seems to be higher quality beef.”

I got 1 slice of pizza before they kicked me out, the toilets were brown, and the employees yelled racial slurs to people who walked in. It was the single greatest thing to ever happen to me. I couldn't have been happier with the cold asf pizza, it was the most happy experience I've ever had. I would recommend going there 5 minutes before closing, it's when it's the best time to go because all of the employees are cleaning up and they now have to get everything back out to serve you. “Yes, Dennys has been there a long time. Yes, the culture of people that will eat there has changed. But this resturant is one of the good ones. Its a survivor, for sure. At this place, a certain waitress deserves recognition. If you go to Dennys, on Noland Rd, and Deliverance is your server, ypu will enjoy prompt attention, a genuine smile, and excellent service. She will not desert you, she will check on you, keep your coffee warmed up. She fixes wonderful, generous side salads, and every person that eats there is her friend. She also stays busy, and is always helpful to her team members. I want to honestly say she is a 5 star server, in a 2 star clientele, at a 3.5 star location. As for the location, the cook is a black dude, wears a red Royals hat, and boy howdy, is he ever a good cook. Dont hesitate to go there. You mifht have to put up with big fat entitled mammas who act like the world owes them, with 8 screaming kids, but you will get good service, and good food.”
