Pork was very bland, no seasoning, the salsa was just ok nothing special.I noticed the floors looked pretty dirty and the waiter was pretty rude also, unlikely to return again.
Must Mexican restaurants offer the same menu for about the same prices and they taste about the same. Went into El Jimador in Jefferson City expecting just that. Boy were we wrong. The man who seated us and took our orders was extremely pleasant but not overly intrusive. The food was close but a little bit above the normal Mexican restaurant fare. But they had a salsa bar... Holy mother of pearls, it was amazing. Avacado salsa, Pico de Pina, salsa Verde, a mango salsa, grilled jalapenos, grilled small onions bulbs, several other salsas, wow!It took the meal to a whole new level. I now see there is a difference in Mexican restaurants and this place is by far our favorite.

We had a group of 16. Knowing this can be overwhelming, We tried to make it as easy for our server as we could. We should have had at least two servers for that size of group. My husband was even walking around helping the server to separate the checks correctly as we were ordering. They missed giving a meal to my 9 year old niece. They brought it out and after she ate half, we realized all of her chicken was completely raw. Not only that but they somehow failed to separate any of the bills and refused to look at the tickets the server had that were already separated. Why? Idk. Instead a group of workers gathered behind the counter to giggle at us all trying to fix their mistake. When the raw chicken was brought to the attention of the manager we were met with complete disrespect. She couldn’t care less. When my sister in law said that she wouldn’t be paying for their ticket and wouldn’t be back. The manger replied “good. Don’t. The entire family.” I am just blown away with the lack of professionalism and responsibility of their mistake, as well as, lack of concern over not only a customer but a child at that. Would 100% NOT recommend this place.

Friday night we had the worst service. We had 5 families. We spend time telling the waiter each families name and who was in each party, because we were paying separately. Well at the end he still brought ONE ticket....had to divide it all at the end. Along with the fact that during the meal Everyone had their food and young granddaughter didnt get her chicken sticks. So we all waited to eat until she got hers. They made them quick and after she had ate one we noticed the others were almost raw. They didnt want to compensate for "they're" wrong doing. And they told her mother and the rest of us not to come back. Dont go there ever.
