Had lunch there today w my spouse. She ate catfish sandwich and said it was very good. I had the Philly Cheese Steak. I eat them everywhere I go, though I’ve never eaten one in “Philly” so I don’t know how to compare. That said, this was the best one I’ve had locally (within 80 miles of home). Meat was tender, plentiful and moist (too many are dry), onions, mushrooms and green peppers sautéed perfectly, plenty of cheese(another bone of contention w others I’ve had), and roll served on soft and not crunchy. It was terrific, and went down nicely w a glass of Yuengling.. much respect.

Frumpy Joe’s was just delicious. I had the catfish sandwich, Cole slaw and tea. The catfish was so lightly breaded with cornmeal all I tasted was the fish, tartar sauce was homemade, and the Cole slaw was sweet and delicious as well. My husband had the build your own burger, with pepper jack cheese, lettuce and tomato. He also got crinkle cut sweet potato fries (delicious). He throughly enjoyed his food as well. 1-70 is a food dessert no more, please stop at this sweet restaurant and get something good to eat! And bonus, the owner Alex and his staff were all wonderful. Frumpy’s is a super cute place. My only regret is I didn’t have room to try something they have called a Gooey Butter Cake. Next time, I will!Parking: There is plenty of parking.

My family and I are only in Frumpy Joe's 6-7 times a year, sometimes months apart and they know us by name on sight they even know what my drink of choice and my son's most likely order. My son's most likely food isn't even a listing on the menu.
Fiancée and I got stuck in the I-70 nightmare traffic jam and BARELY made it here to get some food. You could tell the staff was overwhelmed with the increased customer volume but they handled it with grace. The food was great despite a long wait.PS - I don’t know who the guy was tending to tables that evening, but he deserves a raise. I’ve never seen someone with such a good attitude despite being in the trenches. His attitude was infectious and helped us sit through another agonizing couple of hours on the interstate.
