This was my second attempt at coming here and this time I was convinced by the rest of my party to spend our 45 minute table wait at next door Tom's Town Distilling Co. having a drink. An additional 15 minutes after our drink and arriving back at Nara, we were seated. Reservations would be wise. There's several interesting choices on the menu. One of our rolls included alligator. The sushi was very good and typical with other sushi restaurant prices.

I love visiting here. I look forward to going back again. They have a lot of good reviews for a reason.

This was our favorite sushi spot downtown. We hope they reopen! This was a big loss for KC.

I was so looking forward to coming here this weekend! I was so sad to see they have closed! Loved coming here every time I came to Kansas.

Man I hate leaving comments like this but I have to so people won't make the same mistake. I wanted to be nice and help out a small business due to the lock down but ended up with a $70 bill for 4 rolls of sushi (Nara, Cali, cross Roads and Jalapeño rolls) and crab Rangoon. They should update their prices on their website with their hard copy menu. It was my mistake for just signing the bill and looking at my statement the next day.

I love this place! The service is nice but sometimes they’re slow or will forget something. It gets pretty busy in there so I more than understand. Overall great experience and I love the adult drinks there!

Not delightful, service very sub par. Booths and eating worn cracked and degrated. Food was sloppy, too loosely rolled with too little rice it was falling apart while being eaten and poorly presented. Waiting 30 minutes for someone to pick up a check is bizarre at best and neglectful in honest terms. I had to track down someone to put in a follow-up order and when giving feedback on how the food was had my plate taken from me as she argued I should have no opinion about the garnish - literally that's ALL a garnish is ... For looks and opinions so if it's poorly presented and sloppy what's the point? This place has seen better days in terms of quality of food, decor and service, but if you like stapled menus, sloppy food and sub par service this is going to be your jam.

I enjoy Nora it's just when it comes to sushi it's quite a bit on the higher side the places I go. It's good, The location is great but the quality of the sushi doesn't really garner the price range but they've gotta pay for that location. That being said it still has a great vibe. It's always very active with a nice mix of people visiting. The bathrooms downstairs have a little odd setup wise but nobody seems to ever mind....different. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Sushi never really comes rolling out quickly, at least good sushi, so there's a little bit of a wait when it gets busy. It really kind of stinks that they put the apartment complex to the north of it. There used to be some really beautiful views of the downtown area in the warmer weather months when the sun was setting before the new complex blocked the view.

A really nice happy hour spot. The bat tenders are always very polite but never too friendly (I cannot offer I higher compliment than that).

Great Atmosphere! I came here for a date and the environment was perfect. It wasn't too loud and it wasn't quiet enough to make things awkward. The cocktails and drinks are also very good, I recommend coming here during happy hour and enjoying some Sushi with your happy hour drink.
