Topsy's Popcorn

For any Kansas City native, Topsy's is staple. Every family has had a tin of Topsy's at some point or another. In previous years, the popcorn was rich and flavorful. Great flavor but as we got to the bottom of our cheese corn, there were way too many seeds and kernels. This is NOT movie theater popcorn but supposedly premium stuff! We also got a bag of the Red Hot flavored popcorn. Fun! This space is teeny and there was only one worker. He was friendly but after we left, six teens arrived and I could see him easily getting overwhelmed. This is a wonderful tiny picturesque store. The staff member was so jolly and talking about how she loves working there, and how the Topsy’s owner is so kind and generous because he pre-paid everybody through the pandemic just so they wouldn’t worry. Even if they hadn’t already been scheduled to work. This is essential Christmas shopping — especially on huge clearance sale!
