“Long much needed POSITIVE Post. Please scroll to the ***** to see what I got. I was working a private event with Blues Fired Pizza on Saturday and as I was closing the truck door to begin prepping and service, a friendly warm voice from an older gentleman said “Hello!” From the side as he was talking to the event coordinator. After shift I stuck around to wander the area and wanted to check out their truck. I met Steve (that friendly warm voice that had greeted me hours before) and he asked me how I was and how we did. Asked me if I’d like to order anything. I was shocked because I didn’t want to assume I could also order- having not been part of the event. I asked if it was okay and he said “Sure! We have to take care of our own!” With a genuine smile on his face. I heard stories of this industry being a cut-throat business. I was more than willing to pay for my pizza but Steve assured me it was okay. (I did drop a tip in their tip can) 🙂 ***** I had the 8" Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. Garlic/Ranch Sauce, Chicken, Bacon, Jalapeño, Cheddar Cheese and Mozzarella Cheese. (Pictured) It was AMAZING! I’m so tired of these big chain pizza places and I’m sooo happy that I went to Blues Fired Pizza’s truck! The dough was fresh, soft, and had that fire oven taste and crisp. You can tell the dough is made from scratch. I’ve driven past them numerous times in Kirkwood at their little pizza shack… but never stopped in. I’ll be glad to come by and order for sure! I greatly appreciated the hospitality. It was a great service and experience. Thank you, Steve!!! It was very nice to have met you, Sam, and Brian! I hope to see y’all sometime. -The other Sam.”

“Aug 11 about 9:30 am. What a wonderful brunch spot. It’s between two sections of a shopping center and at a hair raising intersection but the breezeway was perfect on a summer day. Friendly staff, interesting menu, and a quick correction to an erroneously executed special request. We all ordered a different dish but all 5 of us were happy with the presentation and flavor. And no side-eye for lingering. Wish I didn’t live 300 miles away-I’d definitely come back!!!”

“we were looking for a place to have lunch and happened to find this restaurant. we parked and the first thing we noticed was the smell of the pizza. we ordered a half and half pizza. on one side was a taco pizza. it is the best we have ever had. The crust was so good. We also had the classic salad which was very good. This is a place we would highly recommend going back to.”

“I love the brand. The ice cream is out of this world. The selection is nice. I bought a flavor I had never heard of before and the taste was out of this world. Only drawback from my recent visit was I wanted to buy a $2.50 bag ? to carry my selections home. The cashier acted like I did not have the money. I told her I did not come all the way out there broke. It was not a racial thing because we belong to the same race--the human race. I WILL RETURN TO THE STORE. (And for anyone wondering the flavor is Sweet Lemon Blackberry.)”

“Nearly always busy here, but the team works hard and is generally quite reasonable in getting the orders out. Kaldi’s coffee is definitely one of St. Louis’s top roasters. Brevé Latte - Yum! On my last visit I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg, and cheese on an English muffin) and it was very delicious.
The Kirkwood neighborhood is a nice area.”

“We ordered two cauliflower crust, all-vegetable pizzas to-go yesterday afternoon. While the pizzas were prepared very nicely (in terms of topping layout and quantity) by an employee, the pizzas were both burned to different degrees - one quite a bit and the other partially. This situation required us to return to Mod Pizza when we opened the pizza boxes at a nearby park. **We want to thank Charlie, Manager at Mod Pizza-Kirkwood, for his courtesy and professionalism yesterday in resolving our concerns.** Charlie and the employee who helped us earlier today made things right for us, and we feel much better about returning to this particular Mod Pizza in the future! We also want to give our great thanks to Mod Pizza-Kirkwood employee Ethan who was outstanding—very conscientious, warm, and professional—during a previous visit to this location.

We very much appreciate Mod’s rich assortment of vegetables and the non-white flour option (i.e., the cauliflower crust).

A few requests for Mod Pizza as a company:

1.) Please train your Staff to consistently uphold standards of courtesy and professionalism. Some are excellent (courteous and thorough) and others are not particularly friendly and don't seem especially motivated to make sure that the food is well-prepared from start to finish.

2.) Please cut your broccoli much larger. For the pizzas prepared for us today, the broccoli was almost completely burned, and inedible. Our experience (in pizza-making at home) is that if the broccoli pieces are large, they won’t get burned.

3.) Please put the raw garlic on your pizza after the pizza is taken from the oven; if the garlic is cooked with the pizza, it comes out charred.

4.) In regard to dietary restrictions:

a.) Please find a way to make your cauliflower crust vegan. We had been advised by another Mod Pizza location that the cauliflower crust is vegan, but it turns out that that other location apparently gave us the incorrect information!

b.) Please offer a vegan, whole-wheat crust option.

We arrived shortly after 430pm and we're taken immediately to a seat and we're given some seafood bread.
Our food came pretty fast.
We had the boudin balls, fried catfish, fried gator, and 3lbs of snow crab legs.
Everything was delicious!! Can't wait to go back.”

“what I'm about to say is long overdue my daughter used to work for alibi cookies on main Street in St Charles she was 16 just getting ready to turn 17 she passed away in a terrible car crash the owner of alibi cookies and his brother went out of their way to our family and lots of ways and to keep our daughters Jaylynns memories alive they are more than a business they care about people and their employees I am thankful to have the honor of knowing them and from the bottom of my heart I thank Alibi cookies for how wonderful they are as human beings as well as business owners I sincerely thank you Henry”

“Located inside Schnucks. Minimal queues on a Friday night. Ordered a gogi bowl with bulgolgi steak (extra $2) and kimchi fried rice (had good amount of heat). Wasn't sure how hot the gogi sauce would be so ordered it on the side in a small container - ended up being fine - kimchi fried rice had more spice. Small seating area available in the corner.”

“Rajitha and Kris are fantastic owners and members of the community. They are always friendly and welcoming when I stop in for my usual. They also remember my order! Their tuna is ALWAYS fresh and never runny or brown (I’ve experienced this at other Subways in the area). I really appreciate having a local shop owned by local folks who really care about their customers and the quality of their products.”

“I cannot express how pleasant my lunch experience was today, at the Kirkwood Chili’s. I sat at the bar, and Cierra was taking care of me. The service was perfect in every way. Cierra is a very outgoing person who obviously enjoys her work! Kudos to the kitchen staff as well. My food arrived quickly, it was super fresh and tasted great. 10/10 recommend.”

Location is good for stay to see our daughter in college. We will stay there again, especially if Best Western continues to offer incentives.”

“Mohammed truly deserves 10 stars, for his unparalleled dedication and remarkable service. I get a catering order every Thursday for my office meeting. When I got a called at 8am saying my catering order was canceled I came in and talked to Mohammed and he was able to work with Judi (she is a rockstar as well) and get my order ready in time for my meeting. This store goes above and beyond for their guests. Thank you Mohammed and Judi!”

“I grew up going to Duffy's, so it has always been a favorite in my family. Last month, we had my dad's celebration of life there in the banquet room with the most delicious buffet. I highly recommend having their banquet room for any celebration. Our server, Josh, was so awesome, knowledgeable, and quick to attend to our party of 50 or so. We even went back the next day for the St. Patrick's Day celebration where I've spent many St. Patrick's Days at. Everything is fresh and delicious. the staff is so friendly and give great service! ❤️”
