While passing through from Texas on my way to NE Missouri, I stopped in this morning to get a couple of the large jalapeño sausage rolls (my usual at any donut shop I go to). Theirs are AMAZING! Warm, soft, yet flaky roll with a plump, juicy sausage inside. Not sure what sausage they use, but perfect flavor and spice. The casing was stiff enough that it gave you a pleasurable pop while gently bitting down while breaking through the flaky layers. The meat-to-bread ratio was perfect. Seems like Texas donut shops have gone downhill using smaller sausages with larger rolls. Thank you Daylight Donut for your friendly service and incredible products. Will have to time my return trip so I can stop in again next week.

I felt a little guilty but the cherry turnover was delicious and so was everything else. I plan to do business with her again! The apple fritters are crispy and delicious! I also recommend the chocolate cake and blueberry.The ladies at the counter have a kind smile and a happy positive attitude.This is my favorite place for donuts.
