“This business is super popular in overland park. This particular location is not as popular. The atmosphere for the customers is unique with a beach type feel. The food is amazing, the store is clean, but the building itself could use some renovation.“
“We are regulars at Hawaiian Brothers, so we had to try the competition ;)We dined in which felt a little strange eating out of styrofoam containers in this really nice establishment. I mean the interior of this place was beautiful. Seemed brand new, super cute decor, great vibes and music, sparkling clean. Then ate out of styrofoam with a plastic fork….Speaking of plastic utensils, it wasn’t exactly easy to cut the big pieces of meat with them. I do think the meat at HB’s is easier to eat as it’s already chopped up. But just a personal preference. We tried all three types of chicken offered and the steak. The least favorite of all was the steak. Pretty chewy and not a lot of flavor. The katsu chicken also lacked flavor. The stars were the teriyaki chicken and pulehu chicken. Both delicious and packed with flavor. There were some fatty pieces, but the biggest complaint was the excess of char on them. Picked it off so I wasn’t eating pure cancer carcinogens. The rice was good and the one thing we will give them over HB’s is the macaroni salad was much better. All of the sauces were great. Service was great. Prices, not so much. We did use a coupon (a BOGO ad is what brought us in), but can’t say we’d voluntarily come back and pay full price. Unless they added a side veggie option. Their menu could use some greens.Photos pictured would be the regular size. $13.99 starting price, $1.50 up charge for steak.Drink selections: coke products. No other diet soda besides Diet Coke so that was a bummer. No iced tea. Plenty of sugar-loaded juice options though if that’s your thing!“
“Food is always fantastic. I have tried everything on the menu and still go back to the classic Huli Huli its the best. The employees are always super nice and polite. And its super quick.Kid-friendliness: What kid doesn't like Chicken and MacaroniWheelchair accessibility: Everything is flat and the bathrooms are HUGE!“
“The food was great and the service friendly. There was a kid who was brand new who handled a rude customer well. The kid working jokingly called out “A-aron!” to let the customer know the food was ready. Aaron then proceeded to chew the kid out saying he was older than him and that he was being disrespectful. Shame on him for picking on an easy target. I told him I would have laughed, and maybe the guy hadn’t seen the video.“

“First time here. Was greeted with a young lady, with a smile. Appreciate that.▪︎ Was hard to read, the menu up high on the wall, (Beware) if you have glasses for distance you will need them here. Was able to order, recieved food quickly. Food was yummy, they even ask when ordering if wanted any extra sauces, very helpful.▪︎ Very attractive sitting area simply but, inviting, makes you want to dream of (relativing, vacation spot, with self boards on the wall & the Scenery pictures displayed.Beware only wooden seating available.▪︎They had small area for fountain drinks, silverware, soy sauce, etc.Parking: Plenty of parking. Were not busy.Wheelchair accessibility: ▪︎Handicap parking, is location down past the door, only 2 spots on the left side, towards the back of the building. Which is strange, not very handicap friend to get into the door quickly. Someone didn't plan this very well.▪︎Restrroms are unisex, which I don't care for, men generally are messier, etc. But this location they were clean, but no hook on back if the door for purse, jacket etc. Don't want to place on floor of public restroom, no counter room to place purse either.Guess whomever designed, didnt think of that, or cared.▪︎I noticed smaller potatoes on macaroni salad than another site.Food, was yummy. I got teriyaki chicken & steak. For most part all my meat was tender, only came across one small piece of teriyaki steak that was rather tuff, chewy. The rest of my meal was yummy. They serve meat of a bed of lettuce, not too much, just right amount, then 2 scouts of white rice, and macaroni salad, the container does not have a separate spot for macaroni salad, to help keep temperature cold. It was sitting right next to hit food, so it became luke warm. But still good. They are rather expensive for a single meal, so expect it to be a splurge for a lunch out. I myself would have like just little more meat & macaroni salad (Portion size) for the price. Over all night bad.▪︎ If over in that area, and up for spending little extra for lunch, then for sure would be a good choice.Restaurant area was clean, appreciate that.“
