A partnership with Burn Theory Fire Kitchen, I was here on a Sunday morning when they were serving brunch and the food smelled amazing. Nice variety of beers. Decided to try the Carrot Cake Hef because it sounded interesting - a 5.7% ABV Hefeweisen brewed with over 100 pounds of carrots, cinnamon and clove. Although I was prepared to not like it, damned if it was not DELICIOUS and did taste like carrot cake. Definitely will be back to try a few of the other beers and some of that food that made my stomach growl like it has not in a long, long time!”

However I did order a lemon drop and I was not impressed. I should of asked them to use Grey Goose because the Vodka they used was not good to me. I forgot to take a photo of the gumbo.”

“Our dinner was very good. I got a beef brisket sandwich and fries. They have great cheesy corn, and potatoes are also good. We also got a fried mushroom appetizer, which was yummy. Our waitress was very attentive and got our refills right away also. They were super busy as it was a Friday night, but she was still great! The portions are really big. I ate that night, had leftovers for lunch the next day, and still didn't finish all of the food. Wish I could remember our waitresses name. It was her first night there but she was doing great!”

On a side note, their staff is very honest and I respect them very much. I had lost a ring that my dead mother had given me up there at their bar one night and couldn't find it anywhere for almost a week so I finally decided to call up there and spoke with TK to see if maybe they found it, and to my surprise, they had been holding it there for the entire week. Nobody stole it or anything so that's freaking awesome of their staff to be so stand up of people!! Again, Thank you for finding my ring and for the amazing drinks! I owe you one!”

“Our first visit was on Friday evening 3/1/24. Food came out fast, edamame hot and served in a bamboo steamer bowl. Salads were very fresh and dressing tasted freshly prepared. Sushi (lobster roll) was fresh and delicious. Also had the chicken and shrimp combo hibachi which was great. Mushrooms, onions, broccoli, teriyaki chicken, big shrimp, fried rice. The chicken was a little dry, our only comment about dinner. We had real lacquered chopsticks (not the dry bamboo kind), dinnerware matched the restaurant vibe. We left full and happy. “Two years ago I rated this store a 1-star because I tried eating at it three separate times and each time I was never able to get any food because of the wait times.I finally decided to give it a shot randomly today (around 7:00PM) and I'm so glad I did.I will start by saying the staff was very friendly - a sharp change from before when I tried going and they were all extremely rude. I'm so glad they have changed how their customer service is. I felt very welcomed into the store.Now, onto the food. I got a Ultimate Cheeseburger with Curly Fries and a Large Diet Coke. Not only was it piping hot and FRESH, it was out in less than 3 minutes. I drove home and ate it, and it was extremely good.The fries were to die for, the burger was so amazingly saucy and delicious and the soda was carbonated and PERFECT.Since I have finally been able to try to this location, I have changed my rating to a 5-star. Everything from start to finish about the experience was fantastic.Whoever is running this store, if you are reading this, make sure to treat whatever crew you had on this evening WELL. They represented your store like it should be and they should be rewarded for their efforts.”

Then ate out of styrofoam with a plastic fork….Speaking of plastic utensils, it wasn’t exactly easy to cut the big pieces of meat with them. I do think the meat at HB’s is easier to eat as it’s already chopped up. But just a personal preference.We tried all three types of chicken offered and the steak. The least favorite of all was the steak. Pretty chewy and not a lot of flavor. The katsu chicken also lacked flavor. The stars were the teriyaki chicken and pulehu chicken. Both delicious and packed with flavor. There were some fatty pieces, but the biggest complaint was the excess of char on them. Picked it off so I wasn’t eating pure cancer carcinogens. The rice was good and the one thing we will give them over HB’s is the macaroni salad was much better.All of the sauces were great. Service was great. Prices, not so much. We did use a coupon (a BOGO ad is what brought us in), but can’t say we’d voluntarily come back and pay full price. Unless they added a side veggie option. “The Fillmore Café is a hidden gem in the Lee's Summit area. A beautiful atmosphere, great coffee and cocktails, and kind and friendly baristas make it my favorite coffee shop. It's the perfect place to grab coffee and a snack with friends or business contacts. Not to mention, they feature local artists on their walls, and host live musicians on Thursday evenings. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable about their drinks. I also found out that the John Chester Ross Whiskey is their own whiskey. I have seen it around town but never tried it. It was very good. I tried batch 1 and 2 and understand batch 3 comes out later this year.If you are in Lee's Summit this is a definite must stop. Pretty small and weak tap selection, the Boulevard beer I asked for wasn't even available on tap so had to get a bottle. Staff was pretty slammed with the crowd that night so service was slow. Beautiful old bar with large peninsula embedded with neat military coins. Cool place to hangout but not tailored for foodies.”

There was only one other group of people there at the time. We literally got up, walked out, and headed to Siki's. Where we should have went in the first place. With more staff, this place would be sheet perfection.Parking: The more than ample parking was a shared lot with several businesses in a strip mall.Kid-friendliness: I saw a few children with their parents. My sister and I decided to go out for dinner and try this place.Con- is that I feel the place is small-that is the reason for my 4 star.Pro- the food was delicious, service was great.My sister and I ordered the special B and split the meal. The Special B is $100+ with all seasonings and medium spice level, I feel it is worth it. After eating we realized there was so much food left over, you can basically feed a family of 4 off of it if you really wanted to. Because the place is small we notice there was a lot of deliveries. They definitely have the foot traffic. Recommend they look into expanding to a bigger location because this is the place to go. Definitely will be going back.”

“Our dinner was very good. I got a beef brisket sandwich and fries. They have great cheesy corn, and potatoes are also good. We also got a fried mushroom appetizer, which was yummy. Our waitress was very attentive and got our refills right away also. They were super busy as it was a Friday night, but she was still great! The portions are really big. I ate that night, had leftovers for lunch the next day, and still didn't finish all of the food. Wish I could remember our waitresses name. It was her first night there but she was doing great!”
