“The dining room had be closed for a while but is now reopened. This is my family's favorite Indian restaurant. Owned by the same family for all the years we've been coming here. Always great to find a family owned and operated business to support, and the food is great too. If you've never tried Indian I recommend the lunch buffet so you can try a bit of everything. Glad to see they survived covid.“
“This is a barebones canteen kind of atmosphere. The best dish I like here is the Masala dosa. I tired the dal tadka and it's good as well.Vegetarian options: The usual fare of all vegetarian dishes are available.Parking: Limited parking but always space is available due to moving crowd.“
“Yesterday, I finally went to Bombay Food Junkies for the first time ever... It was certainly worth it! Had the Chik'n Tikka Naan Wrap with Fries and the But'r Chik'n Bowl with Naan Bread. Not pictured was the Mint Chocolate Chip Shake made with oat milk. My friend said this may be one of the best meals she's ever had! The food was great and the service was even better! I highly recommend this place if you happen to ever be in the St Louis, Missouri area. #animalfree #minorityownedbusiness Updated from previous review on 2024-03-31“
“I work in a customer service centered industry and I appreciate excellent service, attentive staff, and a great product. Black Salt lived up to the hype local magazines put out there. ??We’ve been eyeing the modern Indian restaurant for a while now. I finally made reservations for us to go on Friday & the service and food were AH-MAZ-ING.My date ordered a Taj to drink, which is an Indian light beer. Very easy to drink and paired well with the flavorful dishes we ordered. We thought we would order what we wanted or what sounded good, but ended up listening to the staff’s recommendations since it was our first visit. What we shared over the hour we were there:Palak Chaat with Mango, which was like a multidimensional spinach salad with a balance of sweet, salty, and crunchThe Tandoori chicken salad might have been my favorite dish. The encrusted chicken thigh was melt in your mouth tender with two refreshing house dips. The garlic naan stood out and complimented the spicy (by our choosing) Chicken Tikka Masala.Whatever you’re craving, this restaurant has something to match your mood and liking. Check it out and make a reservation. We can’t wait to go back.“
“My girlfriend and I went here for the first time a few months ago and since then we’ve probably gone 40-50 times. One week we went five days in a row because it’s so high quality and flavorful. I do chicken reviews on another platform and this place has scored the highest rating I’ve ever given. 9.7/10 clucks. I’ve been to ≈300 other places specifically for chicken and the chicken tikka kebab from here is the best I’ve ever had. Runners up are Grace Meat + Three, Kimchi Guys, and O! Wing Plus.Anyway - I couldn’t recommend this place enough. It’s a MUST try even if you’re an hour away. Neville or Raj will take care of you and they’re the best in the business.“
“I've never had Indian before so my daughter and I had no idea what we'd like, but the staff was super courteous and gave us stellar suggestions that we ended up loving! I got the chicken Tikka Masala and it was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten, and everything was gluten free! We will definitely be back!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian friendly!Dietary restrictions: Definitely gluten free friendly!“
“The restaurant has an urban dhaba-esque vibe and stands true to its name. We came for the buffet, which tasted good and had decent food variety. Would love to visit again for a proper meal.Vegetarian options: Buffet may have less variety of paneer dishes compared to chicken dishes“
“We arrived right after a large group so there was a bit of a wait but all of our food was fresh and hot. Goat saag was very tender and flavorful.Chicken Tikki Masala was amazing. Even my picky 13 year old thought it was delicious. If we lived closer, we would definitely return!!“
“We tried the chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, samosa chaat & garlic naan- the classics. Everything was delicious & tasted fresh. The chicken was tender & juicy. Our server was attentive & made great recommendations. Will come back and try other options next time.“
“Nice dining and there will be offers throughout the week. We love to go for a Lunch buffet here and of course for weekend dinners too. The lunch buffet has plenty of south Indian food options especially Andhra food styles like different flavors of biryani. Good place to go with kids.“
“Very good food and attentive service. Dislikes: Menu looked like it had been handled by 100 people. Front entry door glass badly needed to be cleaned. A bit more attention to the appearance of cleanliness would make this place even more appealing.“
“I love Indian food. And wow is this place incredible. The lamb vindaloo stood out in particular. Perfectly spiced all around.Food was fresh and hot and we didn't have to wait long even though they were very busy. Also got to try their honey Chai and it was a perfect sweet side. We will definitely be back.“
“This place is a fantastic addition to the Saint Louis community, offering a perfect venue for gatherings of all sizes. Recently, I had the pleasure of organizing an Iftar party there with a group of friends, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food at Biryani House truly stole the show. The Iftar spread was nothing short of amazing, with a delightful array of traditional dishes that satisfied every palate. From aromatic biryani, Chicken Karahi, Chicken tikka, and mouthwatering kheer, each dish was delicious. In addition to the delicious food and spacious setting, the restaurant also provides a separate area for Salah, allowing guests to pray in comfort and serenity.Overall, my experience at Biryani House was outstanding. The combination of delicious food, welcoming ambiance, and attention to detail made it the perfect choice for our Iftar party. I would highly recommend Biryani House to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Saint Louis.“
“My husband and I took my parents to Namaste along with our 5 month old daughter. The staff was very patient with us, as the baby was fussy when we first arrived. Then after most of the other patrons had finished their meals they changed their TVs to a child's program without prompting to keep her entertained. I don't know of any other restaurant that also features a bar that would do this. Very lovely people on staff there.“
“Pretty solid. Was our first time having Indian, so this was a new experience. We got the dinner for 2, the soup was super good! The chicken tikka masala and the lamb curry was nice, though my lamb had a super crunchy bit that I couldn’t tell what it was. Not as spicy as I was hoping for but I was happy. The rice pudding they gave wasn’t very good, had a muted taste. The bread was excellent. Service was okay, the servers weren’t very chatty and we had like 4 different people checking in. Kind of an awkward experience. Would definitely get carry out or go again!“
