“First off, my wife and I are truck drivers. We found a completely empty parking lot across the street next to the LaQuinta motel. We wanted a sit down meal and a safe place to park for the night.The meal was way above normal quality for Denny's and worth every dime. Service was wonderful also. The restaurant is so clean that it looks like they opened yesterday.We were leaving our truck to grab breakfast before leaving the area and a gentleman from the motel came over and told us to leave. He needed the parking for motel guests. I looked over his shoulder and the two cars parked in the lot that had been completely empty all night long. I asked if we could grab breakfast before leaving. He quickly said if I wasn't gone in 10 minutes he was calling the cops and a tow service.LaQuinta cost this Denny's my morning business and any repeat business for myself and other truck drivers. I have posted online that the area is off limits for truck drivers.Thank you for the great meal. Sorry your neighbor business cost you a repeat customer.“

“One the best breakfast spots in KC! The pancakes were delicious, and my veggie omelet was stuffed and topped with melted American cheese. The atmosphere was friendly, and the staff were all welcoming. The family history of this place is awesome too!! Be sure to get here if you're ever in KC!!“

“Recent visit 2/1/2024Walked in around 3:40pm. Ordered a double cheese burger and onion ring. The prices are affordable, and the burger is filling. The onion rings could've been cooked longer. I recommend asking for extra crispy. Local joint worth visiting.2019Food is always freshly made and tastes so good.“

“Took forever to get our order taken but the servers were polite. By the time we got our food it was and hour or so later. My omelette had bacon and when I cut it open the bacon was nearly raw so I sent it back. Other tables were served while my party was eating and I had nothing. The new one was good though and the hash browns were good too. You will need to season your food if you like flavor. Portion size is good also.“

“i have a friend that is a breakfast burrito aficionado; he will drive from the Northland to Edwardsville on his days off just to enjoy what he considers the best Burrito de Desayuno. His workday ritual has been a daily stop at the Lunchbox in the West Bottoms, until recently when he discovered Burritos To Go on 7th St. So I had to see what the deal was.The place is a literal hole-in-the-wall, squeezed into a small storefront. You may enter, but more than 2 at a time may get the fire marshall called. The layout is not only cramped, but awkward. Just as awkward is the lady serving and cooking. When I asked if she accepted credit cards, I was given the eye squint and a blunt "of course". For what is lacking in decor and decorum the burritos make up for it. I ordered a combo pork/steak with rice. Smallish but priced right and stuffed with tender juicy meat. She may be terse, but she's quick. A grilled tortilla, stuffed, rolled, bagged and rang-up in about 90 seconds..Will I return? --squints eyes..."Of Course".“

“Just a good old fashioned diner experience. Belly up to the lunch counter, order, and watch your food be prepared on grill right behind the counter. The cheeseburgers are small (order two) but taste great. They're smash burgers with onions smashed on top. The hashbrowns are the best too. My "usual" is 2 Cheeseburgers with side of hashbrowns. Hayes opened in 1955, I have been eating there since 1974“

“Went in with my family today my server was a gal named Brittany, was so welcoming, upbeat, with a great smile and friendly. The girl didn’t stop everyone she greeted she presented the same personality! However, there was a gentleman sitting at the counter me and my wife assumed it was the boss and he just sat there sipping coffee and watching his phone while our server bussed all her tables, ran the register, cashed guests out, ran her food I mean this was unimaginable but our server Brittany didn’t stop smiling the young lady just kept going.
