“July 2023 update - My friend and I came back a couple times and the food has improved. Will be back again, increasing to four stars.Original review: My boyfriend and I have heard so many great reviews about Nudo House so we decided to try it! The ambiance was great - very modern and inviting; the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I asked what their suggestion would be and they said you can't go wrong with the classic Nudo or the Bahn Mi so we ordered both, but sadly it was very underwhelming. The flavor wasn't rich or flavorful like we expected, and the noodles tasted like instant ramen, kinda rubbery and very bland. Maybe it was just an off day for them but it was highly disappointing, especially after reading all the amazing reviews!Their Mai Lee restaurant, however, is incredible.“
“I liked the majority of the food. Number 68, the shrimp was actually so bad. However, the rest of the bowl was nice if you added chili oil. The cilantro stems were a little too long for my liking though. Number 11 was delicious. The service was nice. Keep in mind that I am not familiar with this type of food. Overall, the food was great.“
“I thought this place was Nashville style hot chicken, but it's Korean, and a hidden gem! It sits in the shell of a former favorite, Bek Hee, on Page. There's not much room for dine-in though a few stools are provided at the counter shelf that runs along the large glass windows. They offer chicken and shrimp in a few different styles: bulgogi, teriyaki, red (spicy gangjung), and fire (extra spicy) flavors. If heat isn't your thing there's still something to find here. Service was fast for a dine in order. Food served in the ever present styrofoam tray and cans of soda are available for beverages. I got the fire chicken combo with rice and was very pleased. Meaty chunks of breaded chicken glistening with bright red sauce, sprinkled with crunchy batter crisps and scallions. 100% recommend, don't let the humble presentation fool you, what's going on inside is special!“
“One of my favorite places to eat in St. Louis. They have plenty of spicy and not spicy options for everyone. I would recommend their string beans, cauliflower, mapo tofu, and szechuan style fish in chili oil . They also have this very good dessert options especially their pan fried rice cake w brown sugar. If I were to leave St. Louis, I would crave this pace everyday“
“The food here was great. Rice was smoky and delicious and lo mein had bell peppers and a slightly sweet|sour sauce on the carrots. A different take that we really enjoyed. Staff was also very kind when we got stuck due to a tornado warning.“
“We love supporting small local business. I realized I haven't written about Ichiban- my favorite sushi restaurant in St. Louis. We have been customers here for about 5 years or so. We came here at least once a week. We usually ordered to go during the weekdays and dined in on the weekends. The owners treat and talk to us like family. Our go to orders are hamachi sashimi, spicy crazy roll, hamachi Kama (yellowtail collar), spider rolls and eel avocado rolls. Last night, I was in a mood for grilled fish so I ordered saba shioyaki combo. It came with ginger house salad, and miso soup. I absolutely loved the ginger dressing here - the owner made it herself. The restaurant is quite spacious, and clean. Highly recommend.“
“Good food, good service and atmosphere is good as well. However, the price is quite high for the amount of food you get. You will probably pay around $13-$16 after tax, but the amount of the food has always been not enough for an adult man. If you can get a coupon for BOGO or something and end up paying $7-$9, then I think the food portion is matching with the price.“
“Food is always freshly prepared and presented nicely here! Pricing is very good compared to other Chinese restaurants! It’s a great restaurant for dim sum too! Their chow fun was amazing ?Dietary restrictions: Gluten freeKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly“
“Robin, the manager warmly greeted us, upon arrival. He immediately took ownership of our dinner entree selections. He is very personable and professional. It was quite apparent to us that Robyn was genuinely invested in our dining in experience. The food was piping hot and delicious.“
“BEST VALUE for your money. They are a little bit short staffed, and, can be a bit of a wait. However, once you get the food, it's hot and DELICIOUS authentic Asian food. If you don't like the wait, you may order on the phone.I love it here , Vicky the owner is the best, and, so is the food in this small restaurant. Also, the bathroom is the back since it's an old Taco Bell store. Everything else is EXCELLENT.“
