“This is the best breakfast in Springfield since Anton's Coffee Shop closed. It is a little pricey for breakfast food, but still worth it once in a while.Note: I'm old. I'd been here when Joe and Beulah Gailey were still with us. They kept prices really low. The quality and service are still on at the least the same level as these wonderful people. The value is not quite.“
“As someone who has a lot of coffee/ breakfast meetings in my line of work, it's important to have "your spot." Sleepy Opossum is that spot for me. The breakfast sandwiches are INCREDIBLE (who would have known that jam makes the perfect topping on an egg, cheese, and potato biscuit??!?), the coffee is perfect black, and the service is always outstanding. All that and the vibe is super cool. If you're wanting to make someone feel like a billion dollars with a breakfast place, this should be your spot too.“
“I have always felt at home when I'm there. The staff has always been friendly and the service has always been great as is the food. Ashley is always my server and is amazing, I have come to know her family over the years and feel like I'm a part of it.I've made some great friends at village inn.“
“First time here, place is clean and calm! Server made recommendations on the drinks and food arrived quickly. I only gave 4 as I felt it was a little expensive for lunch nearly $30. But a lovely place and lots of coffee/drink choices. Also love all the plants!“
“Went here when on vacation with my girlfriend and her niece. The staff was nice and amazing. The food was delicious. Cool part, they had those kid coloring papers. Little Gremlin enjoyed it. Highly recommend going the farmhouse skillet hash. I believe it was called, was absolutely delicious!! The purple haze was so good my girlfriend took one to go.“
“Found this spot on google! First time in Missouri, never the less Springfield!!! was greeted by a long haired guy that looked like he needed a Valium. They were busy! I was quickly seated at the bar top and greeted once again by Ian the bartender. He was legit. Friendly and very knowledgeable of the town. He surpise ordered for me and the chorrizo tacos were unreal. This spot is a hidden gem. Go see Ian. Tell him Drew sent ya!“
“Great place to come if you are looking for a quick bite (although they do not serve fries, only hash browns). Glowing atmosphere, fun place, everybody talks to everyone (including customers all friendly). Our server, although I didn't get her name, was great and even sang songs from the jukebox.“
“I ate here with my family for dinner today. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the service was efficient. The side salad was great, and I love the ranch dressing! The only thing that really disappointed me were the fries. They weren’t the special seasoned ones that I’ve had before. The crinkle fries were rather bland.“
“I’ve actually been here a few times but Saturday we stopped in for brunch at about noon. We wanted to skip the busyness of some other places and thought this place would have some more classic options. The food was fantastic! I got the ham steak with eggs, potatoes (hashbrown or home fries, I had the home fries) and HOMEMADE bread. I chose the cinnamon raisin toast and it was delicious! The slices were huge! Everything was great and my wife and I even commented of why do we not come here more often. My wife had the tenderloin which was also huge but tasty! Service was great, the coffee was kept full and the waitress was attentive. The food was so good I forgot to take a before ??“
“We went for dinner this evening. Its a low key place, but their current chef/cook is the rock star! I had the beer battered fish and it was so good. Light, crispy and huge. Hubby had the mexican omelet and was also thrilled. Daughter had the strawberry waffle and was likewise impressed.“
“It's waffle house. You go for the vibes. The staff at this location are exceptional, food is always fresh and they make it exactly how I request 95% of the time. My husband and I come here often, and we will continue doing so. Tonya is awesome! (This place is literally a key aspect in our relationship, as it's our late night spot to talk things through)“
“First time in my life at stepped in to a Waffle house. What was I thinking ? 3hes on the road and needed breakfast... Awesome place ! Love the staff, they were outstanding. Food was fast, hot, and delicious. If you've never been there, you have to try it out. I was NOT disappointed.“
“Nothing unexpected! Friendly wait staff and customers in the middle of the night. The waffle station was a bit messy, but not terrible. I sat gossiping with a school custodian I had never met ahead of the ice storm... Felt very like the Missouri I grew up in!“
“Very good sized stand alone building. Not in a strip mall. Food was good as always. Service was very good. The bar area always had plenty of room for seating even on a busy Sunday morning. I’ve eaten at many First Watch restaurants around the country and so far, this was the most relaxing….“
