The pepperoni, bacon and jalapeno thin crust pizza somehow lacked flavor. No chilled glasses for beer.

This used to be such a great place to go. They had great food and service. Now, most of the staff is pretentious and gives zero f. Maybe a generation thing (help us all) if that's the case.Maybe the staff needs more training on how to treat customers or maybe just hire people over 21, that way customers don't have to deal with a rude teenager that's being taken away from their snap chat when they decide to go out and enjoy a meal. When a restaurant is empty at 3:45 in the afternoon and the rude hostess says it will be a 20-minute wait. A mature employee would realize that a 20 minute wait looks insane to a person standing in an empty restaurant. We just needed a minute to figure out if we wanted to wait the 20 minutes to be seated and then the 30 minutes on the food. Also, we were just taken back by her demeanor. Did we want to be eating an hour realistically? We did not, but she was incredibly off putting. Even if we decided to change our mind, we wouldn't have eaten there. Now, Black sheep was packed, so a 20 minute plus wait would have been expected. We will never return.

Local historical restaurant that started in the late 50's? It's definitely Tex-Mex and it's also delicious. I always go for a half Sancho Enchilada and half the yellow cheese dip. Their salsas are made locally and beware the Hot Sauce WILL make you sweat. The South location is my favorite and they are always busy. The staff is friendly and attentiveto all their tables. Is it authentic Mexican cuisine?, No but it IS delicious and a local tradition and favorite

Ate here in the evening after Missouri Comicon. This is my first time in Springfield so I appreciate some of their St. Louis adjacent menu items. The atmosphere is spot on as bar/pizzeria, with us getting a booth right by the window. While our server was really friendly, I wouldn't say the service was stellar. We had our food come out at wildly different times. One salad first, then 5 mins later the other salad. One person's pizza, then 10 mins later one person's wings that was going to be their entree, and then finally the appetizers. It really detracted from the meal. It also wasn't busy enough for us to ask for the cookies we ordered at the start of our meal no less than 3 times, and while we were assured they were ready and warm waiting for us, they didn't arrive until we asked the last time, AFTER we already took care of the check. We never got refills until we asked, but the server did offer to make them to go, which I declined because I honestly just wanted more before the end of our meal. The food itself was just ok. The TRavs were pretty tasty but the eggplant appetizer for $10 is actually offensive with 4 slices, undercooked. What actually saved the meal was the salad. I had to pick out the provel (because I asked for no cheese) but it was fresh, flavorful, and pretty large for a small salad.

*My review is based off of delivery*Wow, what a find! Stayed in Springfield on business and DoorDashed it twice.First time I tried the shrimp scampi pizza along with the garlic bread. That pizza packed a tremendous amount of flavor with the best crust I've ever had. The cheese bread was gooey from butter and topped with tons of melted mozzarella. Phenomenal.Tonight I tried a calzone with pepperoni and the brown butter cookies. The calzone was full of toppings and I really enjoyed the ricotta in there as well. Perfect bake, the crust was crispy, yet chewy. Those cookies blew me away. We've all tried the dessert cookies from pizza places and end up being underwhelmed. Not with these, though.I wish you had a place in the Chicago area. Anytime I pass through the area, I'll definitely stop in for some great pizza.

Decent pizza. Unbelievably understaffed, inattentive and disorganized wait staff resulting in amazingly slow service. Might not make a return visit.

Was a little worried because some of the reviews had the pizza being burnt. We took a chance and we didn't regret it. We got to meet lovers hand tossed and it was very good. Service was fast.

I've never waited so long for an erroneous order, burnt pizza, and mushy buffalo wings. The crust and sauce are bland. They are hoping you'll find the topping choices so awesome you forget about the rest of the pizza.
