Not the most attentive servers (don’t expect them to notice your empty drink), but take it for what it is, it’s an old place, tons of history here, great food (hands-down some of the most authentic BBQ in town), and if you want something, all you have to do is raise your hand and ask for it. Great experience checking out authentic Americana! My son had just been pinned as a US Army Captain at Fort Leonard Wood and we were exploring. We always love finding the local spots and this one didn’t disappoint. We were immediately treated like regulars. Just a great experience, good food, and ice-cold beer. Not sure when I will be back to Springfield, but will definitely grab a bar stool at Pappy’s.
