The banana pudding was so so good and tasted better than Paula Deens restaurant banana pudding. Service from the front and cooks was excellent! “It was our first time after getting a recommendation from some friends and Holy Cow, it was amazing! Everything was delicious. The meats were all tender and seasoned so well. We had the brisket, Pork Bulgogi, and Beef. Everything from the side dishes to the main was scrumptious. The wait staff were all friendly and engaging. “Brisket sandwich came out hot, tender, smokey, juicy and seasoned perfectly. Okra for the side is well seasoned. Highly recommend this place, not for their drinks per say, as the sweet tea tasted like sugar water with no tea flavor and the drink size isnt really worth it, but the barbecue is immaculate. The barbecue makes up for the drink situation in every aspect. My favorite barbecue spot for a while now“

“This is an awesome lil bbq joint. Burnt ends were a lil dry but flavor was there 3.5, pulled pork was tender as hell but kinda bland 3.5, the corn was awesome easily 4.5 same with the beans! Og sauce is strong and good but the spicy is where it’s at! Definitely recommend and would love to have fresh out of the smoker!“
“Great experience checking out authentic Americana! My son had just been pinned as a US Army Captain at Fort Leonard Wood and we were exploring. We always love finding the local spots and this one didn’t disappoint. We were immediately treated like regulars. Just a great experience, good food, and ice-cold beer. “Wow yes we recommend! We actually went a little out of the way based on their five stars rating. So worth it! We both got the same combo platter, with brisket, turkey and pulled pork. Same sides as well, okra and beans. The owners are friendly and talkative and so hospitable! It's a total hole in the wall with family recipes for the sauce. He was very proud of the mustard based sauce but they were all good! The reaper sauce is good and hot, but not overly so. Stray from interstate and check this place out!“
“Best burnt ends you’ll ever have. It’s a must stop in Springfield, MO and we’ve driven an hour + to make ourselves be in town to eat here when passing anywhere close by. “City Butcher did an amazing job catering lunch after my mother's funeral. It was a difficult time, but they helped me plan every detail. Delivery and setup was on time and very professional. The brisket was superb, as always! Melt-in-your-mouth tender and perfectly seasoned. The bbq beans are a favorite too. We also enjoyed the pulled pork, cole slaw, and their awesome variety of sauces. You really can't go wrong with City Butcher. 5 stars, for sure!“
“This has always been are favorite place to eat. But when I ordered 4 dozen rolls and 4/8 oz tubs of honey butter for my Thanksgiving, and they were not fresh and mashed, and there was a little scoop of butter in each tub. I was very disappointed in there quality.“

“This bbq place is one those whole in the wall kind of places. You only know about if you look it up online. The ribs, sausage, fries, fried okra, and baked beans are excellent. Met my high standards and exceeded them. The brisket was pretty good but it was a little on the dry side. That's literally the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. The atmosphere is amazing and it felt like being back home in georgia at your local BBQ place everyone hangs out and talks. The owner is extremely nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling through here or that lives here.“

“Asked for the ten dollar lunch special, and 12 dollar sausage plate. 2 fountain drinks.. 32 dollars? Well I tipped the standard 20%. Ended up with to plates of food room temperature. Disappointing to say the least. $36 dollars of less than mediocre.“
“One of my favorite things to do when traveling is to try local BBQ. A Google search landed me here. Walking on we were immediately greeted by the staff, who were very friendly. After we put in our order we were promised our food in 15 min or so, 5 min later it came out. I had brisket, Turkey, and Ribs. All were cooked to perfection. None of them were dry. The spicy sauce was perfect, just enough spice to give it a bite but not so much it takes away from the food. My wife had the loaded fries and said they were amazing. Coleslaw was excellent, and the beans were good. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes good BBQ.“
