I left my card there the other night and went to pick it up. The staff ignored my request despite tips being taken claiming it was busy. I waited 45 minutes. Apparently 'someone' was checking for it the whole time. A waitress I spoke to complained about it being a Monday and just no Fs given. Nice. Restaurant was empty. I gave up and left- Basically they stole my credit card. The bartender with curly brown hair whose shirt says '48 and single' with a middle finger up was, let's put it kindly, less than helpful. Not the first time I've had to deal with staff there who clearly hate their job. Plenty of friendly places to go in Soulard. They lost a locals business for this.

Cool place to listen to music and have a meal. Service was excellent and prices reasonable. Get there early and stay late!

While in town I had to visit. We only had time for a quick take out of fried green tomatoes and fries. The food was great! Service was awesome. The atmosphere was amazing! While we were there the gentleman that was singing on stage played a Beatles song and the place wasn't busy as it was late but wow it was alive! That song in that bar - I wished I had more time to stay!

Got the BBQ pork steak, which was good value for the amount of food, but the food overall was lackluster in flavor. If you really enjoy blues music then maybe the atmosphere will be fun, but overall was more so just kinda sad. Street parking only.

Love this place. Great menu, breakfast, lunch and dinner, you never have to leave. Live music, inside and out. They open early so you can get the party started as soon as you wake up.

Hammerstone's is ALIVE, friendly and authentic. We were there for breakfast and even though it was 9:00 am and there was no scheduled entertainment, the friendly energy of the local crowd and the staff was off the charts. Our food looked and tasted like it was made with pride. Our waitress (who was also the bartender) was super attentive and each one of her table visits made our experience boo coo better. I had the Soulard Omelette, served spicy for that extra Nawlins kick. I'll be back in St. Louis often and this will be my go-to every time.

Another legendary Soulard bar. One of the best places for breakfast/brunch in the area. The staff is top-notch! Prices are fair. It's a busy scene on the weekends. They open at 6:30 AM

It's a great place and good food. When they have a band playing, it's so loud you have to scream to order food and all conversations have to end.
