“They have fantastic service and food! And I had amazing luck on my bday with the games in there!!Parking: It doesn't seem like there's many parking spaces at first glance but there's actually extra parking in the lot adjacent to it! It's just a little tricky right in front of the building.Kid-friendliness: Depending upon preferences, I would certainly feel comfortable taking any of my children or grand babies in there to dine!Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely accessible”
“Very good Mexican food, we really enjoy Don Julio's in Carmelita's' going to give them a call and see if they're open on this extreme chilly day”
“If your looking for a good delicious juicy steak burger this is your spot. And I recommend the onion rings and the custards are amazing ? ? Assertive Powder Coating give much thanks for the finding of this new spot next to ”
“We have been here numerous times over the years. Everything was great until they were sold out of the dinner I order. However this was not the problem. When I wanted to glance again at the menu the waitress said “ I love ya but I need you to hurry up.” I felt this was rude and poor customer service. I didn’t even have a chance to glance (not study) at the menu before she said that. We had been seated for 25 min. Before she took our food order. In her defense, she did come back and ask again and said she just didn’t have time earlier.Parking: Boat slips and land parkingKid-friendliness: Nice beach and kid friendly, ice cream shack”
“An Unforgettable Culinary Journey at the Branding Iron RestaurantFrom the moment we stepped into the Branding Iron Restaurant, we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes, setting the stage for a truly memorable dining experience. The ambiance struck a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making us feel right at home. The menu was a delightful showcase of culinary creativity, each dish crafted with the freshest local ingredients. The highlight of our meal was the signature steak, seared to perfection, each bite a testament to the chef’s expertise. The flavors were bold and harmonious, leaving us savoring every morsel. The service was impeccable; our server was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our needs were promptly met. It was clear that the staff was passionate about providing exceptional service and enhancing the overall dining experience. To top it all off, the dessert was a masterful display of sweetness and texture, a perfect end to an already extraordinary meal.We left the Branding Iron Restaurant with satisfied palates and the certainty that we would return. It’s not just a meal; it’s a culinary adventure that we highly recommend to all. Five stars are not enough to capture the excellence of this gem in Sunrise Beach”
“Cute place. Love the decor. Very clean. Staff very friendly! Haven't been in awhile. Previous few times food was ehhhh lake food. But we saw the new menu and thought we'd give it a try and I'd have to say what a change in taste of food. Everything was excellent. We was very impressed!”
“Not a bad spot to have some decent food and drinks made by skilled bartenders on the quiet west side of the lake. A teensy bit pricey but I imagine if you're a resort person you won't blink at that.”
“Come every morning and get breakfast and they are all rockstars and food never disappoints. AK, Nikki, and Kim are very professional, charismatic, and so fun, makes for a better morning. Highly recommend!”
“We've only eaten inside once since COVID happened. It's a smaller dining room, but it was nice we normally carry out very good! My favorite is general Tos but it wasn't in the list below.”
“We stopped by because my friend recommended this place. We arrived at 4:01 and they opened at 4 pmWe entered an empty restaurant, and the server said we could sit anywhere we wanted. I replied I'd like to sit on top of the bar. She said anywhere, but there and smiled. We were given drink options, and both decided on sweet tea.The server arrived with drinks, and we ordered. I asked for recommendations and ordered french-uletta, and she said i should try. She recommended Jambalaya for a side, and I said sure!My wife ordered Tasso Alfredo. Her meal came with a salad. The server asked if I wanted my jambalaya when she brought the salad. I said yes, please. The salad and jambalaya were TOP NOTCH!Salad was green and fresh, plus the bread was well butted and toasted to perfection! The jambalaya was pretty spicy if you are not into spice. The food arrived and it was cooked perfectly. The shrimp were flavorful with the Alfredo. The french-uletta was incredible! The server recommended for dessert a gooey butter cake and vanilla ice cream. We loved the dessert it was amazing, and she brought 2 little extra cakes I can't recall the name, complementary. They were tasty.Definitely recommend this place. Halfway into my meal, I knew I wanted to return. Seldom do I find a place I absolutely love and this place is one.Well, one in a million.”
“Great food and amazing drinks with a wonderful staff. What else can you ask for? We sat on the patio to catch a little sun and had drinks and appetizers while the band played.”
“Valentine's Day dinner 2024. Had reservations. Had to wait briefly while walk-in diners were seated before us. Not sure what was up with that. But we got a great table so maybe that's why we waited. Food was excellent as usual. Waitress was great. FYI, if you order a cocktail on ice, they charge $5 for a large ice cube, no warning. Odd. Could have taken the ice from our water glass for free. All in all, it was a pleasant experience with good food, just a couple unexpected quirks, atypical of Baxters.Older: View is great. Food is good and plentiful. Short wait for a "great table" by a wall (to be fair there was a window by my husband) at 149 pm on a Thursday before Memorial day.”
“Look.... I'm just gonna say it.... the other Lil local Mexican place that I thought was so good, lost a regular customer after tasting the food here at Manuel's! No comparison!!! This little place here has the best salsa and queso fundito I've ever had!!!!”
“The food is always fresh and fantastic. They have a good variety to choose from. The staff is friendly and accommodating. You should definitely stop in and give them a try!”
“Nicole at this place is absolutely amazing as a person. She took the time as a person to make sure everything I and my wife needed were taken care of once she knew what her and I were going through with our lives after I explained the purpose for my quick visit.”
“What an amazing place! The atmosphere is amazing inside and out, from the old barn wood, the various lighting fixtures, and the outside seating. Our server was James and he was amazing, from his great personality and friendliness. He was amazing at checking on our drinks and the quality of food. He had some great recommendations. The barbeque is my favorite at the lake. Their side choices are vast and the serving portions are the biggest I have seen at BBQ places at the lake. We had, pork, sausage and brisket. Beans, Mac, coleslaw, and potato salad and all of them were awesome. They have five sauces and the best part is you can drive a pint of any sauce you would like. We tried their sweet, tangy, and white and all three are amazing. The sweet and white mixed are an awesome combo.Their desserts are amazing and their serving size is huge! We had a black berry cobbler to go.This is a must visit lake restaurant!”
“We did a girls weekend and went here as it was close to our vrbo. AMAZING food ( with generous portions) and super tasty margaritas(more triple sec flavored as opposed to lime). Very clean and chill atmosphere. Leftovers are even better on day 2. It's well worth the drive, loved it!”
“What a find this place is! Great tasting and selection of food, daily specials and welcoming staff in this cafe! Going back soon, but wish I would have found this place earlier on ?. Stop in, you won't be disappointed.”
“Truly Authentic Mexican food.Small but wonderful. Only seats 10 inside, with outdoor seating in warm weather.Parking: Small lot, by another business. Not busy at lunch.”
“We really where thankful for the great pies. We bought pies two different days on our stay.If you like pies, you will really LOVE these homemade to die for pies. Thanks for your love you baked in those we bought.”
“My wife and I stopped in for the first time last Tuesday. And it happened to be the first night of game night. They invites us to play and we had a total blast. We plan on coming here quite often. Bethany and Tiffy are awesome!!!”
“Let's start with service. From the greeting to the goodbye at the cash register, this place is country friendly and we loved it. Service was solid and watching these ladies apply their craft was like watching a choreographed dance. They must be long-term coworkers to be that fast while working in very close quarters. As a former server, I appreciated watching it. They worked as a team so everyone got their food fast and hot and the cups never went too low. Ambiance: this is a diner with worn finishes but not so worn it's an eyesore. It's comfortable and as the name says, it's cozy. It is the kind of place you would bring your family for breakfast after church. Food: the food was prepared as expected with the added bonus of the eggs being fried perfectly to order. I can't believe how many places have a problem with making over medium eggs. This place isn't one of those. The senior breakfast was a good solid meal that filled me up. My husband's omelette was too big for him to finish it and he left half on the plate, while quite satisfied with the portion he ate. The hash browns are tender on the inside, crunch on the outside, as it should be. They were a little too greasy for me, but the normal level for the region. The toast was well-buttered, a nice surprise coming from an area where there is a movement to only butter when requested. I always forget to ask for it. All in all, it's a solid homestyle meal, nothing fancy, but it's not meant to be. It's definitely worthy of a return. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4”
“Went on a Sunday. The four stars instead of three stars is really for our server Maddi who was attentive. We ordered a half order of nachos for an appetizer. There was barely ANY chicken and barely any of their cheese sauce on them. They were OK but when I inquired about extra sauce they said it would be an extra $6!!!!! Then our actual dinner orders came out. My shrimp and cajun potatoes were very good. Side salad was just alright. My friend ordered the shrimp BLT. He said it was good but again, they shorted him on the sauce. Would not order the nachos again simply because there was basically no chicken or sauce on them. Would advise on them being a little more generous on, at the very least, the sauces.”
“Absolutely a must stop. We enjoyed the tasting, loved the Tan Lines White sparking wine. Had lunch, panini & burgers, they are great. Staff was knowledgeably guiding us in the best directions. We highly recommend. Well worth the stop.”
“The bartenders are wonderful! Caitlyn and Adelle are so attentive and kind. They have provided friendly and speedy customer service. Making sure all my food and drink needs are taken care of promptly.”
“I feel at home here. Lisa, Tina, Melinda, and Kelsey are the greatest bartenders ever. Cheap amazing drinks, cheap amazing food. Feels so welcoming and so homey here.”
“stewarts is an institution at the lake. traditional diner with everything you'd expect.breakfast is great and reasonably priced. i like that you can get pork tenderloin with breakfast - yum! so tender!had french toast today; came with 2 large tasty, well prepared slices. bacon was crisp and everyone's eggs came how they wanted them.my only "complaint" is that i wish there were a few more vegetable side options. but hey - SMALL thing!we ate there twice on our visit to the lake, for breakfast each time. service and food were both great. very fast and friendly.in an older location but very neat and clean. a definite DO if you are in the area.”
“If you get to this little town, go to Val's. They have great food and friendly people. Pancakes are huge!! Boyfriend and I shared one and could barely finish.”
“We ate at this small restaurant with family on a recent day trip to Osage beach based upon the suggestion of a local family member. It is fairly small and located on the back side of a small strip mall. Fortunately our GPS led us right to us. We had a group of six. The menu is relatively small and consists mainly of hot and cold sandwiches, paninis, various large salads, soups and deserts. I had the hot turkey and bacon sandwich which I found to be large and tasty. I also had good reports from the other members of our group, including those who ordered the soup. I found eating at this low key restaurant to be a refreshing change from eating at fast food or larger establishments and will certainly consider eating there again next time I’m at the Lake of the Ozarks/Osage Beach.”

“Our first impression driving up was that we were about to have a unique and memorable experience at The Tavern. The food did not disappoint and the service at our table was excellent. The only criticism I would give is when we walked in we had a few minutes to wait for our table and we felt like we were outsiders at the bar. We were going to get a drink and sit by the fire but it took awhile for the bartender to stop talking to what appeared to be regulars and wait on us. We did finally get drinks and sat down. The other thing that really struck us was how the decor seemed like an afterthought and the items looked like they were picked up at a yard sale for out dated restaurants. I pictured since it is an old rustic cabin it would be decorated with similar decor. Our table wobbled terribly and was very small and the chairs were stained and uncomfortable at the fireplace with a hodgepodge of mismatched cabinets packed in around them. We will probably return for the excellent food sometime but for the price it was not the atmosphere I would have expected.”
