“Ms. Gina in the mornings is GREAT! She is VERY professional, courteous & has an AMAZING smile. Thank you for having me as a customer & thank you for having a 'Gina' to start my work day off. Take good care of her. The world needs more 'Ginas' in them❤️“
“Came during a weekend morning and the place was packed. However the staff of two absolutely crushed it, keeping up a fast pace of drink delivery and helping customers order. The Ethiopian Macchiato, oat milk, no sweetener, was outstanding.A higher price, but that may just be the normal for independent coffee shops. It was personally worth the premium price.Would love to go back sometime!“
“Well. Awesome vibe. Real human dialogue and happiness all around. Standing room conversations and all tables being used. What coffee shops should be. Everyone is kind, helpful and the coffee is delicious and made with loveKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: There is a back ramp.“
“Cute little shop and friendly service. The lady that helped us was more than happy to cut the ice cream sandwich in half for us since I can’t eat much and my toddler shouldn’t eat much haha. It brought us to a part of town that I would not normally visit… nice to discover new things. I really hope they do well ❤️“
“This is easily one of my favorite new places that has come to Brentwood. Having a drive thru coffee place with actually good coffee and great snacks that isn’t a super mega coffee chain is awesome. The staff are always the most pleasant to interact with and I’ve literally never had a carelessly made drink or food item. The double sided drive thru is a game changer and makes the process so fast that I always feel like it’s worth driving slightly out of my way to go there. I don’t usually bother writing reviews, but I want to support this place any way I can because I never want them to leave. Thank you, Exit 11, for being exactly the neighborhood drive thru coffee place that I’ve been hoping for. You guys rock. Also, thank you for extending your hours. That also rocks.“
“For the first time coming here I was impressed. The server was nice and greeted us. She told us about the cupcakes and told us about the popular options. It was a nice environment and they have a nice taste in music. I will be back to get another desert!“
“Yesss! What a gem! The ropa vieja sandwich is delicious!! The pastelito was really good as well! The texture was perfect. Guava might be my favorite pastry filling. I'm going to go back and try the coffee next time. The people working were so nice.“
“We wanted to grab something from lunch and the lady at the counter suggested egg sandwich. One of the best. It had avocado and some other sauce which was delicious. And there boba tea is the best.Dietary restrictions: We asked for less sugar in our boba and they complied.“
“Lia's a champ, literally. Pastries are amazing, and her GF/DF are indistinguishable from the regular offering, none of that grainy texture you sometimes get from coconut flour. If you call in advance, they can take special orders. Excellent bakery.“
“My favorite place for cold pressed juices! The staff is so nice and helpful. Don’t forget to try one of the breakfast sandwiches! They are delicious.Vegetarian options: Almost all vegetarian, and great for vegans.Parking: Sometimes hard to find a spot to park as it’s in busy CWE. Lots of delivery trucks doubled parked makes navigating the area unpleasant.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible“
“This is my overall favorite place for coffee in St. Louis. Every cafe has their strengths but this one makes for my overall top rated cafe. Quality service, food, beans, and creativity on their menu all at a good price. Their bottomless drip is just a dollar more than their large, which is very good value!“
“Adorable Indie vibe-a nice change from the big coffee chains. I ordered a French Kiss coffee and it was awesome! Very very clean. The chocolate chip cookie was OK.....kinda like a grocery store cookie. Adding some more baked selections would be great but all in all a nice little find. I'll be back.“
“Been here a few times. It is a busy saturday morning, and yet the place doesn't feel cramped, isn't loud, and the staff is all super pleasant. The cortado is a sure bet every time. Atmosphere is a great balance between cozy and airy. Patio looks nice, but a little chilly for me.“
“Gateway Coffee Company is a nice coffee shop. Their coffee they get from Crimson Coffee in Columbus, OH, and their pastries are from a local pastries store. The coffee cake muffins we had were intriguing as they had a salty external layer that was actually nice to the taste buds. I gave it a four star because the coffee and food were good, but there is no kitchen, and nothing is actually made by Gateway Coffee., still a solid place to stop at and pick up a coffee or tea.“
“Teatopia is my new favorite hidden gem in STL!There are SO many tea options that it can be a bit overwhelming but the owner is extremely helpful and will help find something that you’ll love! The ambiance is laidback and quiet making the back dining room perfect to work from.I got a hot tea with milk and my friend got one of the smoothies with tea in it. We both loved our drinks and can’t wait to come back for food!“
“Higher Groundz as become my favorite spot for coffee! The ladies always are smiling and super friendly! It is amazing that not only do they remember your name and say good morning when you walk in but they also remember what I normally order. Highly suggest stopping by when you have a chance!“
“I am VERY biased as I work at The Barn... but I think this place is the bomb! The only challenge we ever have is sometimes there is a wait.... but that is a wonderful problem to have for us... and ALSO we now have a waitlist that you can join online... so having to wait is soon to be a problem of the past!PRO TIP #1: When I am working on Sat & Sun as the host... say the code-phrase "I go Coo-Coo-for-Cocoa-Puffs" to me and I will move you to the front of the list!PRO TIP #2: "Rutti-Tutti-Fresh-And-Fruity" also works as the code-phrasePRO TIP #3: This DOES NOT work on anyone else at The Barn, just me!“
“Protagonist is a wonderful coffee shop in a quaint area of St Louis. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting with various table options and even a whole wall of books you can check out. Service is quick and the food is tasty. The only downside isn’t a terrible downside really, it’s just that they’re very popular - especially with the study crowd - so on the weekends it’s often difficult to find a seat. They have three couches/loveseats which are great until you’re trying to find a seat with a table. They’ve added some additional chairs and tables since I first started going there which has helped. This shouldn’t deter you from going, however, as the coffee, atmosphere, and pastries are worth the wait for a table. Just FYI they don’t have anything that would constitute a meal, just pastries and ice cream…on Sundays I think they have a breakfast taco bar but I’m not sure if that’s still around. All in all would highly recommend Protagonist Cafe!“
“This place is an experience!! We looooooove our visit. Indoor and outdoor seating, a good amount of space and travels for groups of up to 8. They have an area with games and books you can utilize, there is wifi if you're looking to get some work done and it stays pretty quiet despite lots of socializing. Outdoor seating is so lovely, private but communal, a fire pit is out back in the center. There is food for everyone, focaccia Sammie's which are divine! Gelato, Italian pastries, pizzettes that are ? and so much more. Their coffee is also phenomenal. I love espresso but usually drink mine with cream, however, their espresso is so smooth I was able to have a cortado which is literally espresso with a tablespoon or so of whole milk and no sugar. It was so smooth and tasty. 10/10 would recommend!!Also, I took my younger boys aged 12 and 6. They got gelato and we sat outback reading books and enjoying the sunshine. Very kid friendly.Vegetarian options: Gelato, salads, and baked items are all vegetarian. They even have a vegetarian pizzette option. They have alt milks too.Dietary restrictions: They have alt milks for dietary restrictions and also have gelato and sorbet made with alt milk.Parking: Parking is available at the streets in front of and surrounding the location. There is a parking lot (paid) across the street.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid options, staff were so sweet to the kids, some kids games were available as well. I was comfortable with my kiddos there.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat hardwood floors with a good amount of room to navigate. The front door is not wheelchair friendly because it doesn't have an automatic option and is a double door.“
“Mardi Gras gave me an excuse to finally make it down to this part of our world, for a pregame pick me up up empanadas, pastries and truffles. Coffeestamp is exceptional. Everything is freshly crafted... made to nothing short of perfection and so delicious!Empanada wise, tried the Pino and Brunch varieties. Really enjoyed the brunch one! Satisfying. Otherwise, had the PB& J Alfajores which was tasty. And in the completely unnecessary unapologetic indulgent department, tried the Fig & Goat cheese and the rosemary caramel truffles. Fig & Goat was blissful, divine and just too great.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible“
“So I used to live next door to this place.I had a fiance who was up to no good and pocketing the rent. When our antique row fairy tale ended they bought our building and expected me to pay some undisclosed amount of back rent (pay the rent again sucker! Yeah.sure.)instead of communicating what was going on from the beginning.I now still am unsure what I supposedly owe or how it affected my credit but I basically can't rent anywhere.Fun stuff.Anyway the hipster staff is snarky snobby and rude, but its comical to observe and that absolutely is part of its charm. Its a show.100% The coffee is THE BEST coffee I have ever had.I don't know what it is about it but man...it is VERY good.Amazing.The food is also amazing. Its an adorable place.I am embarassed to go there though I should simply be pturbed but yeah.I never have the money to go out for fancy coffee anyway but yeah...its good.Very good.“
“Great food and unique items. Ignore any reviews complaining about restaurant week here. Regular diners realize restaurants don't serve typical items during Clayton restaurant week to make it possible for the new visitors to have a chance to try a reduced menu and lower prefix. This place is fabulous.“
“This is a wonderful shop. I tried the Columbia GuavaBanana pour-over and, I must say, it was the best tasting coffee I have ever had. I was able to taste light notes of banana and citrus. While it was delicious, paying almost $8.00 for a cup off coffee may not be worth it for everyone. However, if you enjoy high quality coffee, please check this spot out! I am going to try their lattes next.“
“Smoothie was amazing, guy that works at hustlers is very informal and explains how they make their drinks. all natural ingredients and sugars. Highly recommend shock in the mouth and getting a drink. If you’re in the area in Saint Louis highly recommend great music and very clean.“
“Great coffee, Ordered Breve and coffee was to the point. However, it would have been nicer if coffee was served in a porcelain rather than a paper cup.Would highly recommend a visit nonetheless.Additionally, more eating options would add to the customer's delight.“
“The bagels are great. It would be very helpful if their website had the ability to order and pay online. As it stands now, one has to call ahead, then stand in line and pay. Nowadays, things should be more efficient. The place is small, and I would think they would want to clear customers out as quickly as possible.“
“Oh my goodness this place is so amazing. I think we will be seeing them grow quickly because it is so fresh and good. Highly recommend if you like bubble tea or even if you don't they have plenty of other drinks. They are so good about letting you have a small sample if you are unsure if you'd like a certain thing. That was me with the Taro which I loved“
“In the Grove across from Urban Chestnut lies a cute newish Latin coffee shop with soft Spanish music playing, clean and welcoming aesthetics, helpful baristas who answered all our questions about the menu, interesting art hun onnthe walls, and even more amazing coffee and treats. I had the Turtle Mocha to drink and it was delicious, along with a strawberry pie that was perfectly sweet and probably would have been even better if I had asked to get it slightly warmed up. My friend had the white tea and had a whole little tea pot to herself, which I loved, and tried the veggie empanada, which she said was the best she's had in St. Louis so far. Great experience.“
“Lovely & Local quintessential penny university?Pulls you in the the STL vibe, a Groove you don't notice until you're in it! The aesthetic is fab, it's a bank built in the 20s with the safe deposit vault to boot! The click! bang! whoosh! along with the fresh roasted coffee aroma are beyond inviting. The baristas are adorbs polite and professional.A necessary stop by when you're on The Hill.❤️“
“First time customer. My daughter invited me to meet her there to get some cupcakes for someones birthday. There are some amazing bakeries in my neighborhood (live on the hill).I have high expectations. I was BLOWN away by the different pastries and savory treats. All of their ingrediants come from a local farm. The fresh milk makes a huge differece in the taste for your coffee. I will be back soon. Also- The staff is incredible.“
“I stopped by La Cosecha on my quest to find good coffee in the STL area and wasn't disappointed. The service was lovely and quick and the coffee was delicious. I'll definitely be back!Only one note, and this is typical of most coffee shops so not a ding at all, I wish there were more sugar free syrup options for those of us who can't have sugar. They currently only have vanilla. They have oat milk and almond milk as well.“
“Visited this little gem in Maplewood two days in a row. Such a quiet and beautiful place located next to a cute little park. We stopped in and sampled their toast trio, donuts, coffee and absolutely loved it all. The staff is incredible sweet and on our 2nd visit they were hosting an open mic for the String Collective. Not only did we get to bask in the sun, we got to listen to incredible performance while eating our yummy treats. We will be back!“
“So cute and charming! Super friendly staff, delish coffee, and tasty treats. I also love the decor. The tables are all different styles, but work together very well. They are grouped in a way you get a sense of privacy and intimacy despite several other tables in the same room. You also have to see the 'secret' room!Parking: The Cafe is on a corner so it's been easy to find parking fairly close.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly. Cool place to take your little or tween for a fun meal or snack.“
“GO TO THIS RESTAURANT IMMEDIATELY. Trust me. Get in the car right now. It was insane. I had the pork belly corn bread Benedict. Flavor was amazing. Crispy potatoes, divine corn bread. Pork belly was flavorful and cooked to perfection. Husband had the barbacoa and grits. Flavor was outstanding! Portions were generous. Service was fast and helped us with the menu selections. Taylor is outstanding!“
“A long assortment of Gelato flavors, and one would not return disappointed.Great place to try affocato given different options of Gelato already present.Other than that, the non-icecream based coffee can be improved significantly.Highly recommended.“
“The cheapest best coffee in Stl. For $5 I can get a latte with flavor of choice, including my dairy sub and a filling breakfast. Baked egg on a toast is my fave. I drive from quite far so it’s a treat a few times a month when I’m in the area. The staff is great too! Highly recommend this place. Lots of coffee flavor options and super affordable! Food is a bit pricey like breakfast burrito to lunch etc but haven’t tried the lunch and salads yet to know if it’s worth it! The staff here is great and really welcoming!“
“Today I visited Maypop Coffee & Garden Shop, and I had a great time! The overall concept of this business is very unique and makes for a great experience. I started my visit by grabbing a caramel latte with oat milk. The latte was solid. The caramel notes were not forward, but I did appreciate that it was not too sweet. The service while getting the coffee was average. The coffee came out quick, but the staff was not overly friendly. In terms of the ambiance, the interior of the coffee shop has tables to sit at, plants filling the space, and even a mural on one of the walls. Some patrons were there studying, and I can see myself coming back to do the same because it's a quaint and quiet space. My experience in the garden shop was incredible. I spent my time making two DIY terrariums. What a creative concept! You choose your glassware, a plant, and follow the instructions provided. I also asked the person working to give me some advice. She was very kind and very willing to help if I had any questions. They have an assortment of rocks to use, both to create a base and to top the terrarium. Moreover, there are seashells and little animals to place on top of your finished product. The price I believe is fair. There's an overall flat rate of $7.99, and you also pay for the glassware and the plant you pick out. Both my terrariums came out to be about $25, each with one plant. Overall, the garden area was gorgeous! There was a wide variety of plants, pots, and gardening tools. This is a great place to visit on a sunny day with friends and family. I highly recommend making your own terrarium if you go. In terms of the café, the coffee was good, but nothing about the experience blew me away. Overall, I had a wonderful time at Maypop and plan to bring my friends the next time I visit!“
“What a cute and classy coffee & tea place! There are lots of options to choose from. And they have a lot of non-dairy milk options.I also got a gooey putter danish which was delicious.Highly recommend this place.Street parking, so if it's super busy, you may have to walk a few blocks.Dietary restrictions: Lots of non-dairy options.“
“Small charming coffee shop on, The Hill. It is kind of off the main drag on, The Hill, so parking is a lot easier. I'm not a fancy caffeine drink fan, I just like plain ole coffee and I like my coffee black. I was next door dropping off my taxes to my CPA and stopped by Cafe Dolce for a Cup of Joe to enjoy while I was driving out to the outlet mall. My coffee had a good flavor to it and was not over roasted like the major chain that is everywhere. In addition, to my coffee, I grabbed a Blueberry Scone. I was wavering between two flavors and the barista told me that Blueberry was a customer favorite. After biting into it, I could see why everyone likes it. It had a good soft texture, wasn't overly sweet and was crammed full of Blueberries. I am already looking forward to stopping in again, when I come back to my CPA to pick up my completed taxes.“
“My friends and I visited St Louis for a weekend trip! This little coffee shop was walking distance from our place and we loved it here! The matcha latte I got was great and the breakfast was super yummy. The baristas were awesome!! They were kind and approachable, and gave suggestions of shops and boutiques for us to visit. We went there several times for coffee; fabulous & friendly!“
“I've only been here twice, but both times the drinks have been 10/10. I've gotten the strawberry one & the creme brulee dirty boba. They're both very good, but the creme brulee one is next level good, probably my favorite drink I've had from any of the tea places I've been to. And super pretty!! :)“
“Excellent espresso! I am from the West Coast and love sampling my way across the country with my picky pallet. *grinReally enjoyed the people here, too, and the coffee is very aromatic and delicious. If I make it back to St. Louis, I'll be back! Thank you!!!“
“I love this sweet little café! Their new space is beautiful— it's bright and airy inside and they have a courtyard space too. Plenty of parking in their parking lot. Colleen makes the most beautiful dishes that taste as good as they look. She puts so much love and creativity in every dish and you can tell by the menu and ingredients that they are sourcing from local farms. The portion sizes are large and there are a variety of things on the menu to cater to almost any diet— lots of vegetarian and gluten-free options, and one of the few places in town where you can eat out and feel like you're eating healthy. Our server was kind and helpful and enjoyable to talk to. Love this spot!“
“Lovely atmosphere, though it's a bit small. I found seating somewhat limited as business picked up, so be prepared to stand or take-out during busy hours.I ordered a chocolate croissant and an iced matcha latte. The croissant was to die for all around, but I found that the matcha tasted a bit too milky.Overall, would recommend if you're looking for a cozy café experience!Parking: The parking was a bit inconvenient, but that's to be expected when you're in the city. There was a two hour parking lot shared between the local restaurants located behind the café, and some street parking and on-site parking. Nearly all of it was full when I parked.“
“Beautiful place. Drinks were great and fast. We'll totally come back to hang out on the patio. They were very busy when they were there and it took a long time to get seated. It also took a very long time to order so just make sure you have allotted yourself when you go. The food was okay pretty standard. I had the carnitas which was pulled. Not typical so it was just a pile of meat on the plate. Drinks were great and fast!“
“The white guy in the pirates hat with the man bun (maybe named joey or Ryan?) was the best! It was our first time and he gave us suggestions and was cleaning in his down time. The place was so clean. Then another worker, black girl with a hat (maybe named Sydney or Alexa?) , said good morning to us as soon she walked in. The atmosphere is immaculate. COME HERE FOR YOUR COFFEE IF YOURE IN THE STL AREA!!!!! And they have so much seating, bring your family, extended family and all. There’s room for everyone. And don’t even get me started on the cake pops!!! We had red velvet & birthday cake, TO DIE FOR“
“Ordered for pickup here. Never tried before. The food was amazing, and the portions were much bigger than I anticipated. Which just made for yummy leftovers. They were busy, and the parking in this area is a little iffy if you are driving to pick up your order. But overall went smooth and the staff was helpful.“
“Best ice cream around. This a cozy ice cream shop with a nice selection of unique ice cream flavors along with the usual favorites. Other unique menu items include their spirited shakes and beer floats. The staff was very friendly and served everyone with a smile. ?“
“Another go-to. The baristas have never let me down and they always go out of their way for me. Hands down best Starbucks place. I had made an online order on their app and went in and realized I made the order for the wrong location. They said that they would gladly make the order instead of having me drive twice as far...every barista I've come in contact with has given exceptional customer service. This is my favorite Starbucks ?Dietary restrictions: If you tell them any dietary restrictions ahead of time, they will accommodate for you. I would recommend customizing any order through the app so there is no miscommunication:)“
