Pulled pork was good, sauce lackluster, coleslaw was SO-SO - not much flavor and cabbage was tired. No prices on drive-thru signs, and prices have increased here as they have every where else. My biggest complaint is there is a 4% up charge for using a credit card that wasn't posted.

If you have an hour to kill in the beautiful town of Batesville, MS then this is your place. Rolled up on a Saturday afternoon. There were about 5 cars in line ahead of us. It took close to an hour to get food. We waited. Weren't even mad about it. At a point you just decide to wait it out once you're vested. Ya know, You just become ok. The sweet lady at the DT window takes one order at a time, rotates and yells it at the kitchen, takes your money, then waits until your food is ready and gives it to you. Then she waits on the next inside person inside repeating the same process. Back and forth from the counter to the DT. Pretty inefficient method that explains the long wait. There can't be much more economical than this. A half rack of ribs and two sides for $14. What the actual fuck? That is insane for March of 2024! A sandwich, side, and a drink for $7?!?!? Anyway. The bbq "meat" itself was pretty good. I had higher hopes for some good all around BBQ but the sauce just glopped it all up man. I didn't like it all and neither did the bride. Ribs were well cooked. Like I said the sauce was bad, and they were covered in it. It has gel like thing about it. It's sweet and like jelly.... Hard to explain. Beans were fair. White bread. Sandwich was impossible to eat as a sandwich. It just mushed under the weight of the copious amounts of jelly sauce and slaw. She just kind of got it in there with the foil it was in If I came back I would ask for no sauce or at least get it on the side. '24 - 25/100

This is my second review, first one was 5 stars.. The food is delicious, but as far as customer service HORRIBLE.. Rude all the way around. Not sure if this particular person in racist or what but this isn't the first time that I've been there and she was unwelcoming.. I pulled up to the window, she opens the window first thing she says is, "yes ma'am.." No hey, how may I help you or anything.. Then she gives the food and slams the window. No thank you, come again or have a great day. Nothing!

The bbq chicken and brisket were delicious. The potato salad and baked beans were ok but definitely store bought(I saw the containers they came in) I got a porky pig spud. But let me tell you the taste of the bacon on top made me not want to eat the spud all together. It tasted like chemicals. The taste didn't leave my mouth for about 20 min. It reminded me of the shelf bacon you get from Sam's club where it's cooked and left on a dry good shelf. Doesn't need to be refrigerated. My first time here and it literally left a bad taste in my mouth. Very disappointing for a mom and pop place.
I ordered the brisket. I showed it to them that it was very dry. No refund they said that's how it's supposed to be . Sorry but brisket is not DRY.

Great pulled pork however has been 5 yrs since I last had until now and its not as good as used to be but still best pork around needs a face-lift good cleaning and smoke that pork a tad longer like back in the day and it would be top spot in area for pork also the sausage cheese and pickle plate is bomb. Very small in parking lot of grocery store

Not quite sure why I was just yelled at that I "wasn't LISTENING" when the people who weren't listening were the people who were butting into the conversation between myself and the sweet girl TRYING to take my order. Simply trying to place my order (my first visit here as well) and the girl at the counter is doing fine but is interrupted by a rude, very rude, blonde-ish female who not only cuts her off but myself as well. All to only ask things which the girl at the counter was already asking. There was no need and no reason for anyone to be yelling at me especially that I wasn't listening when you had it in your mind that I ordered potato salad. When I never once said the words potato salad. YOU. WERE. NOT. LISTENING. And for you to yell at me was completely and totally unacceptable. You lowered your voice and changed your tone when you spoke to my friend. Did you realize that you were out of line, and still couldn't apologize for the way you spoke to a first time customer?

Holy god this place is amazing. Their sauce is sweet, so if you're more of a savory sauce person maybe check a different spot, but this is easily the best bbq place I've been to in a WHILE, and I've been to Rendezvous in Memphis pretty recently.Brisket is always incredibly tender, ribs fall off the bone, the potatoes are so light and fluffy, and they offer big gameday platters and when I say this stuff would SLAP at a tailgate in the Grove I'm being very serious. A pristine example of a hole in the wall must visit local spot.Vegetarian options: None that contain BBQ sauce; believe there are pork drippings in sauce as my housemate who is allergic to pork fell ill after having the BBQ chicken there (but said it was worth it and they'd take a Benadryl next time)
