“Great food, typically ready for pickup at requested time after ordering on-line. Staff on BSL location are always cheerful. Smallish 2-3 table for eat-in customers (it's part of a gas station/convenience store) but we typically do takeout. The BBQ itself is first rate and the sides are tasty, too, maybe a little on the skimpy side. Food is a bit pricey, but we always get one of their specials (like the popular BO-GO two-meat special with purchase of two Yellow Cups) which makes it pretty reasonable.“
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I recently had the pleasure of dining at Salt Pepper Oak, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly service. The food was simply incredible - the burnt ends were beyond delicious, and I couldn't get enough of the heavenly peach sauce! Each bite was a burst of flavor that left me wanting more. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family. I highly recommend Salt Pepper Oak to anyone looking for amazing food and exceptional service!“
“We love the tacos, tamales, and chicken quesadillas here. The portions are nice. The server has recently started bringing out a black bean dip along with the salsa, and it's excellent. It stinks that they did away with the free ice cream, and the soft drinks are the most expensive fountain drinks in Diamondhead (at over $3/cup, and they don't have kids sizes.). Besides that, we'll be back (just drinking water though).“
“After a day at the beach, I let my girlfriend pick between barbecue and the seafood place next door and she chose Murky Waters.I'm very particular about food (I hate the title Foodie, but I live in New Orleans so it is baked into the cake). I have to say that I was so impressed with my meal at the restaurant. I had the burnt ends with a side of potato salad and collard greens. The size of the meat portion was beyond generous. I can say that the spicy sauce was one of the top 3 barbecue sauces I've had in my entire life. It was enough to give you a tingle, but did not sting your tongue. The potato salad was great. I suspect that is due to the chef adding sour cream to the mix. The collard greens were smokey, but I felt that they were slightly over salted.I do not make it over to the Mississippi Coast very often, but when I do you can bet that Murky Waters is going to be on my list of places to eat.“
