Came here for my birthday and could not be more impressed! I had the catfish with red beans and rice and it was delicious. My fiancé said they gave her new favorite burger and fries. She also won’t stop raving about their banana pudding! With the quality of food and exceptional service we’ll be back!

Wow! I had no idea this place was here. I went to visit my sons at USM and they suggested this place. They are conveniently located a few minutes from campus, and the red beans and rice was delicious! Even the gumbo was good. I generally prefer a seafood gumbo, but I was surprised how good the chicken and sausage gumbo was. Highly recommend the red beans and rice.

Small place but this is the best in Hattiesburg. Perfect Poboys and Gumbo. Service is great. We were in Hattiesburg for 3 days, after eating at Art of Roux, we came back the second time and if in Hattiesburg again, will definitely eat here again. Don't skip this place, it's worth stopping and eating a wonderful Poboy and Gumbo.
Decent place,they just run out of food alot. My response to the owner:(1/25/24) why advertise "Art of Roux" and run out of Gumbo lol I was happy to get out cause this was hilarious ?

I’m not from them area. It was chilly and raining, so I wanted some good quality warm comfort food. This place delivered!!! The food was SO good. The portions were way more than I expected and definitely reasonably priced. The customer service was spot-on, and both the dining facility and bathroom were super clean! Definitely give this place a try!

Yum! Been there several times and the food is always delicious. The gumbo is the best in town and the serving of huge. Corn muffins are slightly sweet and the bread pudding is to die for.
Carson and Chris are absolute rockstars. Incredible customer service, thorough and thoughtful recommendations, food perfectly fried and seasoned just right, all with expedience and a smile. Never had a disappointing visit.Do yourself a flavor and get the red beans, at least a cup on the side.Y'all keep it up!
