For some reason this place is great. The interior recently got a nice and needed face lift, the food is pretty good. The gumbo is ON POINT!! The service is up and down though. You'll either get a nice happy gal or grumpy one who doesn't like people. Either way I still come back and enjoy every bit of Gold Post!!

So I ate the Goldpost Sandwich House today for the first time, even though I've lived in the area all my life. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door by the most pleasant young lady. The experience continued to be above par and the food was absolutely amazing! Definitely check out the gumbo and their signature house dressing with a salad. As for the service ... keep up the great work! definitely looking forward to going back.

I ordered the shrimp poboy, It had about 6 shrimp on the whole sandwich and ketchup!who puts ketchup on a shrimp poboy ????
This is an awesome place to eat. Cleanest restaurant I’ve seen in years!!! I mean it. Restaurants now are so dirty but this one was clean through out. The windows were spotless. The bathrooms was unbelievably clean and when we first walked in you could smell the cleaning products. Hamburger and fries was good and I love their drink cups. This will now be our place to eat when we go thru Hattiesburg. Will tell family and friends . Whoever the manager is, they are doing their job!

This is a nice place to have a quick bite. We got Red beans and rice this evening and it was good and cheap.This is a place that is Overlooked by most in Hattiesburg. It was not busy when we went this evening. It looks as if they are having trouble hiring adequate staff. As seen in my photos, they did not even have the Sign lit on Hardy St. A good, but underrated place.

We had the daily special, which the Saturday we ere there was a bacon, cheese burger. Very good. I substituted onion rings for the French fries. There were big tvs with football on. Newly enovated and pleasant atmosphere. They had a kids menu and plate lunches, too.Kid-friendliness: My grandson got the chicken tenders and fries. Looked very good and made in house,not frozen.
Havent patrinized this place in about 8 years. It just wasn't the same. The service and atmosphere were wonderful, but the food fell flat.
