My catfish and shrimp platter was extremely good with big portions (including of the two delicious sides I picked: greens and stewed cabbage) for a very reasonable price. Very polite folks who took my order. Don't expect linen tablecloths and fancy decor--that's just not the kind of place this is. I have eaten here for about 20 years (at their old place and new place). This is the best food ever. I've had the shrimp and catfish too many times to remember. I live about 15 miles from Southern Seafood and go there every chance I have. Outstanding food and service!

great food and great prices. i had the fried catfish and a side of gumbo. i may have been expecting to much from the gumbo. it was tasty but i probably wouldn't reorder. if you are in hattiesburg this is a good option.
