We really enjoyed the fried chicken,green beans, & rice & gravy. My son liked the chocolate pie & I got the lemon meringe. Service was top notch & the food was reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!

I chose this cafe when I was home in Australia planning this trip. We drove today from Memphis, Tennessee to New Orleans and I wanted to stop off in Jackson, Mississippi to have lunch at George’s Cafe. Well, I was certainly not disappointed!! Extensive selection of home cooked food and excellent prices. The menu changes slightly every day and I doubt that you’d have trouble finding something you like. The staff were all super friendly, especially Andrea!! I had fried chicken, mashed potato, turnip greens, green beans and cornbread, all for the small sum of $8.75. The place is rustic and original and the opposite of the sterile, boring chain restaurants. There is plenty of parking and the meals are available to takeaway if required. Don’t miss this gem if you are down near Jackson!

Amazing place! The owner is incredible, very chill vibe, amazing food. It’s like a grab-n-go place with lots of options! Selection is Fresh and New everyday! Coffee, smoothies, Fruit bowls, Sandwiches, even rice bowls. Free WiFi. Convenient location as well!
