“It was my daughter's 12 birthday and this was her place of choice.. She loves the sushi and the hibachi experience and so do I. We had absolutely no wait at all and this was on a Friday night... maybe we just got lucky, bc the place wasn't empty by no means. Our hibachi chef put on a very good show and it was very entertaining for everyone at the table. The food was absolutely delicious and filling... We all had leftovers.Definitely recommend when it comes to the hibachi experience, the service, and the food!!Parking: Plenty of spaces around the whole building!!Kid-friendliness: It was my 12 year old's choice for her birthday dinner. “I love this little gem!! I came from San Diego where the food variety and quality is rich. I was looking for an authentic pho spot and stumbled upon this place. It’s got a tiny dining area, so I suggest takeout, but they are absolutely delicious. Their side dishes are a little smaller than I’m used to, but they’re amazing. You can only pay in cash but they have a convenient ATM. Super cute spot and amazing food!“
“Dustin (I think that's his name) and Jennifer were excellent servers. Even our expediter was amazing. The ambience and food superb. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a special night out. Gua Bao Buns brought me back to my childhood with my Asian ancestry and familiarity of home. Pho tasty and Korean Fried Chicken crispy and spicy like it should be. It was however slightly dry but still a very tasty dish. Drinks on point. Lychee martini kicked a nice punch and Velvet Devil merlot was jammy, smooth, and a nice pairing. Lychee brûlée was just ok. Sugar was bitter on top, over torched, brûlée did not taste like lychee. Seems like they just added lychee on side. Other than that, a very, very enjoyable evening and would return again and again. We even wanted to go back the next night. That's how much we liked it.“
“We actually ate here 2 times on our visit as we liked it so much the first time we wanted to come back and try some different things. First visit we sat at the sushi bar and had sushi and pot stickers. All were excellent, sushi was off the charts and made quickly right in front of us. Next visit we went the noodle route, did pho and lo mein and again, both solid choices. Service both times was attentive and there before you needed them. I would consider this a must visit while at Beau Rivage.“
“BUCKLE UP, it’s a long one….Let me start off by saying we went here on Labor Day so it was very busy. my husband, his parents (they are african american) and I (white) arrived at the restaurant around 2:30pm. Every single table along with all the chairs at the bar were taken. There is no one there to greet you or help you figure out where to sit. So, my husband, his dad and I went to the bathroom while his mom stayed back to wait. We came back and you could see more people were starting to come so we formed a line. technically, we were there first but they had a man that formed a line. the bar freed up slightly so we let him and his two guests have the bar. another table became free so we tried to take it but they had a lady (asian) at the bar that already ordered her food but she claimed the table for her guest. my mother in law and her had a heated discussion and none of the workers intervened to resolve the situation. well we continued to wait and finally another table became free and we had to ask the cleaner to clean off the table so we could sit down. Once we sat down, a worker came right up to us and apologized for the wait and everything. so was SOOO kind and got our orders right away. i really wanted a vietnamese coffee but she informed me they were out. She brought me a lemonade and didn’t charge me for it to accommodate for the coffee.While we waited for our food, we observed everything going on in the restaurant. they had a sweet old couple (they were african american) behind us waiting in the line and tables were starting to free up. they didn’t want to go sit at a dirty table so they were trying to wait until it was cleared but the lady (asian) BEHIND them cut them and went try to take a table so we had to say something to the worker. The worker didn’t really do anything about it and let the customer figure it out themselves. The people that cut the older couple ended up eating first. How does that make sense? it seemed that everyone kept cutting and there were no regulations on seating. they need a worker that handles the seating so that people don’t have to wait in an actual line just to get a table and no one can cut anyone.I hate to say this but the vibes that we got were that the asian customers felt entitled to dine first. The person that took our order didn’t give us that impression but it seemed that the asian customers felt entitled to the tables first. That’s just the vibes we got from our experience there.Anyways, our food came and i can’t lie, it was AMAZING. we ordered two shrimp noodle bowls and two Scarlett Pearl Specials. Our food was phenomenal. the broth was so tasty and flavorful and everything was so fresh. the portions are plentiful. we had a whole to-go container full when we left.As we were leaving, the tables that have been freed up when we first sat down had still not been cleaned. the issue is that the guy that cleans off the tables also cleans the dishes in the back. the bottom line is, THEY NEED MORE PEOPLE. point blank period. Especially when it’s as busy as it was. I really hope something is done about their manning because i felt so bad for the sweet older couple behind us.Although it was a rough start, we left very satisfied with the service and the food. And for four people, we paid $75 without the tip so it was a very reasonable price.I think next time, if it is that busy in there, i will just call and order to go because the seating arrange was a catastrophe.“
“The food was absolutely delicious, the service was superior, the lighting perfect, the music in the back ground created a nice atmosphere. Ocean Springs has a real gem with this restaurant. This is one of the best food experiences the Mississippi Gulf Coast has to offer!“
