The Lost Cajun

I’m not sure which Lost Cajun some of the commenters visited but it wasn’t the same one my wife and I did. Everything was absolutely amazing. The catoufe, boudin balls and shrimp and grits we had were astounding. The staff was super friendly and timely. We also had beignets that were delicious. My only complaint was that I couldn’t eat every thing on the menu! We will definitely be back!!

I’m from New Orleans, so when I found out about this gem I high tailed it there. It had been a few years since I had authentic food from my home town, so why not try this? I got the crawfish etouffee. Now, let me start by saying this is NOT cheap to make. So I didn’t mind the $12 price point. The flavor was okay, but it could have done with just a BIT more seasoning. My waitress, Brooklyn, was a JEWEL! She's a complete sweetheart! The food was okay. I ordered shrimp and grits. They were wayyyy too salty and I sent them back and got chicken and sausage gumbo. I should say chicken gumbo because there was no sausage. There wasn't enough rice but it that's okay. My kids enjoyed their fish and shrimp baskets. Hubby enjoyed his seafood platter and lobster bisque.
