Dirty plates!!! No meat in the red beans and rice! Pretty bland taste!!! Almost like they just scraped up the leftovers from the bottom of the pot!

Tasty tasty tasty. I'd visit again but please never serve me the suggestion plate again. None of the options were delicious

Great food at a reasonable price. The food tastes really good and you get plenty of it. Nice atmosphere. Wait staff was good. Great little place.

Love the menu choices and tasting dishes to try before ordering.

I’m not sure which Lost Cajun some of the commenters visited but it wasn’t the same one my wife and I did. Everything was absolutely amazing. The catoufe, boudin balls and shrimp and grits we had were astounding. The staff was super friendly and timely. We also had beignets that were delicious. My only complaint was that I couldn’t eat every thing on the menu! We will definitely be back!!

I’m from New Orleans, so when I found out about this gem I high tailed it there. It had been a few years since I had authentic food from my home town, so why not try this? I got the crawfish etouffee. Now, let me start by saying this is NOT cheap to make. So I didn’t mind the $12 price point. The flavor was okay, but it could have done with just a BIT more seasoning. It was inconsistent. Sometimes bland tasting, sometimes a hint of spice. My major issue was there was a total of FIVE tails in the bowl, which I understand it’s a scoop and pray situation so I was fine with that-HOWEVER….there was barely any rice, so I was just sort of left with this runny roux.Would I eat there again? Yes. It wasn’t bad at all and it did give me a my New Orleans fix, enough to satisfy my craving.

My waitress, Brooklyn, was a JEWEL! She's a complete sweetheart! The food was okay. I ordered shrimp and grits. They were wayyyy too salty and I sent them back and got chicken and sausage gumbo. I should say chicken gumbo because there was no sausage. There wasn't enough rice but it that's okay. My kids enjoyed their fish and shrimp baskets. Hubby enjoyed his seafood platter and lobster bisque.

Have had much better authentic Cajun food as for taste. But I frequently eat at these places a lot. Quality was good but spice's was on the light side. Shrimp Po boy especially.

Waitress is slow and awkward. And food was over cooked. Really upset that we got our hopes up.

First time trying to-go from this place. We got two side salads, both with ranch dressing. This was all the ranch they gave us for both… one container with like a spoonful of ranch for two people to split.

I'm not really sure where to start. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, almost no one was in the restaurant. We were seated quickly and the tables appeared to be clean. Slightly concerning though, my husband's menu was different from my menu. Under the Fried Fish and Shrimp plate his menu detailed the catfish was Swai (a less than appetizing Vietnamese variation that's farmed in awful conditions). My menu had no such specification anywhere on it. In Mississippi there was a bill passed in 2008, specifically because of this type of fish, that states all restaurants serving imported fish MUST disclose it on their menu. So it's concerning for a couple of reasons. 1: How the heck is a "Cajun" restaurant in Mississippi gonna serve imported catfish?! This is Mississippi! The catfish industry here is huge! 2: The fact that they conveniently neglected to disclose they were serving Swai, instead of US-raised fish, has me very concerned about what else they may be hiding and serving under false names. Now, let me just touch on their claim of being Cajun real quick. That was easily some of the worst gumbo I've ever had. It didn't even taste like they made a proper roux. It was thin and tasted like something you'd get from a can. There was no depth to the flavors at all. My husband ordered the Alligator Poboy. Again, no flavor. None at all. Munching on a plain loaf of bread would have been more flavorful. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. We will never be back.

Excellent service. Very clean. Excellent food. The waitress asked if it was our first time at the Lost Cajun she offered us a sample of 8 different gumbos and Cajun classics. It was difficult to decide. We went with the seafood gumbo and red beans, sausage with rice. We tried the boudin balls. Never heard or had them before. There were little balls of pork and chicken livers mixed with rice, seasoned rolled in breadcrumbs and deep fried. Delicious. I has the fried oysters with fries. He had the gator po boy. Beer, coors, in bottles were $3.

Food was good. I had the catfish etouffe. My only issue is, why would you buy your catfish from Vietnam when you live in the catfish capital of the world? ?

This is the second the Lost Cajun location that I have tried. The first one was in Memphis, Tennessee and tonight, I tried the one in Pearl, Mississippi. Both locations have very friendly service and a cool ambiance to it. There is nothing fancy about the Lost Cajun, what's the memorabilia and decorations definitely screams The Big Easy. The menu is also filled with New Orleans cajun and creole classic dishes. My excellent server brought out a little sampler of the various soups and Gumbo's that they had so that I could try it and determine which one I like best. Apparently, today was National Gumbo Day, so they gave all the customers a free cup of gumbo. They gave me the choice between the seafood gumbo and the chicken and sausage gumbo. After trying both on the sampler Trey, I preferred the chicken and sausage gumbo. It had a little bit more spice and a little bit more depth to the flavor. For my entree, I had it narrowed down to a fried alligator po-boy or the cat-toufee. The cat-toufee was a dish that incorporated catfish fillets and crawfish etouffee over rice with a few pieces of garlic bread. I ended up going with the cat-toufee and it was pretty good. Please don't mistake it. You will definitely get better from a small mom-and-pop location somewhere in Louisiana. But for a chain restaurant, albeit a small chain restaurant, the food was definitely pretty good. I would definitely recommend a visit to this particular location. As an added bonus, it is just off of Interstate 20, so if you are traveling and want to grab a quick meal and get back on the interstate, this is the place for you. Come check this place out. I do not feel that you will be disappointed hear it
