“Really great authentic AND texmex Mexican food. I always get the street tacos combo al pastor and are always so delicious. Salsa is really good and of course we get the cheese dip as well. For drinks we usually get Horchata and sweet tea. And jamaica (hibiscus)“
“Kinda unbelievable - placed a to go order and they left the tortillas out of the order. Only discovered after driving 20 minutes home. Called and they are coming to deliver to them along with “something special “- he insisted. We complain about bad service so I wanted to compliment the good. I drive 20 minutes from my house passing by their other 2 closer locations when I want Mexican because I like their food the best. I am just kind floored.“
“4 adults and 17 month-old twin girls ! Quite the dinner party . The staff & servers were great .The food was great .The Beer Selection, Sangria, and Margaritas were all good . This is a local resident's go-to place . When in town, I'll be back .“
“I enjoyed some simple cheese enchiladas tonight. I started off with the street corn, which was pretty good. However, $7 was a bit steep in my opinion for what little corn you get in a bowl. Sadly, corn must be hard to find these days since it’s expensive back in Dallas too. Go figure. The atmosphere was nothing special. The hostess took a bit of time to get me seated. It’s a little surprising no one helps, but just stands there watching. The guacamole bar lady just stood there a few feet while people were standing waiting to be seated. Some of the best restaurants are the ones where everyone works together as a team. The waiter could have shown a little more involvement. When I asked about certain items, he acted as if he had no clue. That’s why service was three stars. They lost a sale of a bowl of queso since he didn’t even try to sell me on a choice. Most likely I’ll be back, but not for any particular reason.“
“First time eating, food was fantastic. House margaritas were very good. Owner was there, very polite. Checked on us numerous times throughout the evening. wait staff was also very polite. When I want Mexican food again I will be going back here.“
“Has become my favorite Mexican food in the area! Way easier to get in and out of compared to the other "bigger" places in the area. The attention to the food, quality is always on point, and the restraunt is always clean and inviting. Make sure to try the home made horchata. Lunch specials are on point too!!“
“Love this place a lot! Your meal is served VERY quickly, and is piping hot. I'm very satisfied with the flavor of the food. Pretty decent Margaritas, and the beers are cold.Several visits, however, we were waited on by a particular server, and she was COVERED UP in perfume. It is on so thickly that it leaves a taste in your mouth. For me, unfortunately, it triggers a migraine most times. She is friendly, and good at her job, but the perfume is just too much!! Ruins my meal experience every time we are seated at her tables. (Thus only a 4 for service and atmosphere)“
“Great restaurant all around. Good portions of delicious and well cooked food for a relatively low price. Had an excellent server who was very attentive. I got the XX battered shrimp tacos with blackbeans and cilantro lime rice and it was amazing! The only critiques I have are that the rice was a little dry/old and the slaw on the taco was a little bland. With that being said, I would absolutely order it again as is. Y'all, do yourself a favor and get the deep fried banana cheesecake with ice-cream. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again. I'm not positive, but the ice-cream even tasted like it was homemade. HUGE portion for an extremely low price. Normally restaurants rip you off with dessert. Not here. I'm coming back to this area for work next month and will definitely be eating here again.Parking: Not many spots available. Parking lot is in disrepair.Kid-friendliness: Relatively calm atmosphere, booster seats and highchairs offered, coloring pages and crayons offered.“
“It's a smaller restaurant, but it's a TOTAL HIDDEN GEM in Southaven. The first time my hubby and I went was on a kid free Cinco de Mayo 2 or 3 years ago. I'm typically not a huge Mexican food fan ( don't like onions, peppers, or spice), but this restaurant was different. It has lots of option.... I mean HUGE LIST! THE DRINKS ARE AMAZING!!! NOT WATERED DOWN AT ALL. If possible, sit in our new friend's (Hunter) section, he was so sweet and attentive, even with a restaurant full of people. My husband started calling him 2 Chainz after drinking the first quarter of his margarita....LOL...SMH!! I had a Walk Me Down that's comparable to the ones I've had in New Orleans.....that says A LOT!!! Just try it! I do t think you'll be disappointed.“
“Waitress was just OK, had to ask for silverware, napkins and a refill, but the food was great, I felt our service suffered because there was only 2 and not a group of 4 or more, I watched all the groups get impeccable service but felt neglected or maybe “
“Such a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed all of our experience. Not sure the marketing is out there and that many people know about it as it wasn't that busy. Maybe a grand opening streamers to get people in. Once in, people will return. Better than El Agave especially it isn't so “

“Be aware that they add 18% tip to the bill for a party of 4. They don't post it. Our server almost got a double tip, as I usually don't look over the bill very closely. But I wanted to check the cost for beer.*** Update ***Went for breakfast it was very good. The food could've been a little warmer, but the flavor was great.“
