Really great WHEN THEY HAVE FOOD. The last 3 times I’ve been there they were out of items I wanted…especially the baked potato. If they would just keep more supplied and quit disappointing customers it would be excellent. I love fixing my own potato at the bar and their fish sandwich is excellent. The burgers have an overly charbroiled flavor that could use dialing down but are rather good intermittently.

I grew up in Tupelo in the 70s where my father owned local restaurants. His friend opened this Danver's location and it is still standing and operated by the original family/management. Being in town on such a rare occasion, I had to have lunch at Danver's and travel back in time. Sadly, the burger was very dry and tasted as though it had been under a heat lamp for a very long time. The french fries were crispy and excellent, just as I remember them to be. The roast beef sandwich was so-so, but that is all. The drive-in order taker was very short with me and clearly was have a bad and/or long day. It was the most friendly of service, but we all have been there, right? So proud this institution is still around and I just hope the ownership/management/employees don't get burnt out and take pride in being a part of history. We are rooting for you!
