Our first experience was mostly positive and we left full. The salsa was very good, but it was served in a communal bowl for the whole table, which we were surprised by. I loved my Burrito Mexicano (pork tips), and my daughter thought the kids cheese quesadilla was delicious. Her beans were undercooked and tasted sandy as a result, but she loved the rice. Every other Mexican place in town was packed besides this one...I soon found out why. The sweet tea was the sweetest ever and the food was subpar. The servers were probably the best thing about it as I tipped them well even though the rest of the experience wasnt the best. It's not terrible by any means but it's definitely not on my go to list. We’ve been going to Ritas for years. We started loving this restaurant before they moved to the new restaurant building around 5 years ago. The staff has always been kind and friendly. The staff has been supportive of my service dogs over the years and my accessibility needs. We love the food which is not expensive.. Service is great and personal. We have dining at Rita’s weekly for years. Rita’s is one of our favorite restaurants in Tupelo.
